While that may have been an influence (kiss kiss, Discworld, kiss kiss), I definitely didn't intend that, plus it's a surface resemblence at the very most.
Also, post should be up soon; between getting distracted and my computer being a tad flakey lately, the delay's been a lot longer than I'd intended... orz
