I am challenging you all to do one good deed a day. =o

Then I want you to post what you did in this here thread, m'kay?
Be sure to post the date.

In my youth group we were discussing the importance of doing good things.
Jesus will reward you for all of the good that you do.
Doing good things, not to sound overly corny, but doing good things can open up someones eyes to God and who doesn't like that warm fuzzy feeling of helping someone?

Who knows I might give out gold, items, or art to others who are making a difference in this world. =)

I think doing good deeds is great but also I don't think you should tell all your deeds to the world. They should be done without expectation of recognition or without the thought of "I'm challenged to do this" but to do it because of our love for Jesus.

Matthew 6:1-4 "Take care! Don't do your good deeds publicly, to be admired, because then you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven. When you give a gift to someone in need, don't shout about it as the hypocrites do -- blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I assure you, they have received all the reward they will ever get. But when you give to someone, don't tell your left hand what your right hand is doing. Give your gifts in secret, and your Father, who knows all secrets, will reward you."

I think she means to do it for faith, not because she asked you to. Like a suggestion of something you should try to do. But not for publicity. 'Cause then it wouldn't really be doing something out of faith.

I was referring more to the posting what deed you did in this thread. It almost because a thing of recognition as well as the suggestion of possible gifts being given away seems a bit "do it for the reward or do it for the chance of getting something in return" but that's just what I got out of it.
