Come with me in the twilight, to the shadows of my heart...
Elseth Sanne Lameperouge Kurama Clan Genin of Kirigakure
First she summoned a clone to practise her stuff on. Then she decided on the jutsu she would use as a first jutsu. She picked drunken sight technique. She tried to cast both genjutsu after eachother directly, but as inexperienced she was in the new jutsu, this of course, didn't work. She had guessed so much, but it couldn't hurt to try(2/9)
She focussed on Magen first now. The patterns described on the scroll where pretty complex, though they were not unknown to her. Genjutsu patterns were all in some way the same, if you knew how to read them. They all had the essential part of an illusion. So she concentrated on learning that from the jutsu first. Her hands would go through the seals and try to call up the right chakra pattern, which didn't succeed(3/9)
Again she tried the jutsu, this time her chakra was forming a pattern. But because the jutsu needed another jutsu to function, the pattern collapsed and she was left with nothing again. However, she had learned that the pattern was seamingly right, because it went down of the lack of an additional jutsu. She was on the right way thus(4/9)
Now casting the Drunken Sight technique before the new jutsu, Else could feel the chakra form holding. It was connected to the previous jutsu, but it didn't hide it yet. She tried to figure out what exactly the current connection was, and she was dissappointed to find out that they merely co-existed and did not work as one(5/9)
As she had to make sure the jutsu covered any genjutsu she would chose to cast before it, she began pulling the jutsu over the other one. Which was a difficult task. Genjutsu alone was a pretty difficult field and to hide a genjutsu was genjutsu was double trouble. She shifted some elements of the jutsu and then unsummoned her clone to see what the effects were on it. She could see both genjutsu being cast, but the clone could still distinguish the two jutsu, though she could not really tell what the second was.(6/9)
Since this actually had to be reversed, she altered the pattern a bit, so the jutsu would hide her Drunken Sight technique for her clone. She ordered her clone to try and Kai out of it. To her surprise, her clone managed to do so. She thought she had perfected it, but it seemed it was not. Usually, the clone shouldn't be able to kai out of the first genjutsu when trying to kai out of the second.(7/9)
Again she altered a few things in her chakra to make sure everything worked. Else casted both jutsu again, and this time her clone had more difficulty getting out of it. It could see only one jutsu now, but when she kaied, she kaied out of both, though something of the first jutsu remained, only without effect on the victim(8/9)
The kunoichi tried again, weaving the two jutsu even closer in eachother and when her clone tried again, the Drunken sight technique didn't disappear from her control. She was happy to see that this worked now, as she would have a great deal of trouble in the exams if she could not defend herself. She probably wouldn't be the only genjutsu user out there, and she should be able to hide hers from experienced eyes(9/9)
… where I cry for all that’s lost to me
