In creating a superhero universe as I have, Ive created many characters and have selected a few of them to be the main characters for their respective stories. However, I have no idea who or even how many people would be interested in the characters I have created.

So, I bring this question to you all. What kind of character in a superhero comic would you like to read about? If you could create you own, please dont say a character thats already been created. Im a fan of a few already established characters (Spiderman, Batman, Booster Gold, Green Lantern, The Avengers, Rocket Raccoon) but this isnt a question about what established character you would rather read about, but if you could create your own to read.

Trick question! Though superheroes are a fun subject and a thrilling genre to read, it's never about "what superhero is most awesome" as much as the issue is "What do those superheroes overcome?"

Superhero-ness isn't about having cool powers and getting into big-budget special effects-fest fights. It's about using your abilities--your 'powers'--to stand up for what you think is right, to struggle to protect what you love. Superheroes are just this extreme; they're made EXTREMELY powerful and thus their decisions to protect or abandon, create or destroy, are more earth-shaking.

Don't create superheroes. Create humans with loves and motivations. The rest will follow.

A valid point. Though it wasnt my intention to make big budget special effect fest fights or having cool powers. Those come latter as you have said. I know all about escalation and the do's and dont's when it comes to make a background story. I would just like someone to help bounce ideas off of and see which characters Ive made to be main characters are winners or need work on.

the best super heros don't always start off Heroic.
all the best ones have normal lives that they're trying to preserve by becoming heros and trying to preserve a fragile peace.
