The moment she walked into the house she was struck with Jonathan's gaze and then moments later, attacked with a hug from Natasha. She stiffened and blinked a couple times in utter surprise. No one had ever seemed to care like Natasha did. The two acted like she was their very own daughter, and she supposed she kind of was now. It was a weird. She'd never had much of a family, besides Olyvia and Lyv had given up worrying about her a long time ago, at least openly worrying. Michelle stood in a kind of daze as the two bustled around her, asking her questions, and telling her what they thought she needed, all though none of them dared ask her the question they were all wondering. She answered that without saying it though. She took a deep breath and was about to ask for a shower when Jon's words hit her ears.
“Ada moved in with Chris didn't she?” She asked, with a straight face. She was too exhausted to even think about being angry at the moment, and honestly, as much as she liked to threaten Chris (and always would threaten him), he made Ada happier than she'd ever been before, and Michelle couldn't say much about the whole vampire thing. After all, her own cousin was one too. If Grace hadn't killed Dom yet, then Chris was probably safe enough. Seeing as Grace was three times as crazy as Chris. She yawned and flopped into the chair that had been offered to her a few minutes ago and rubbed her eyes. Jon was right, she was exhausted. She could deal with Ada, after she'd rested and after they'd gotten Melody back.
The food she could smell being cooked in the kitchen made her stomach grumble loudly and reminded her that she hadn't eaten anything in over a day. “Shower...” she murmured, pushing herself back to her feet and yawning yet again. “Then food, then sleep.” She finished off her thought before heading off to what was now her room although it used to be Ada's. She slid into the bathroom and shut the door behind herself, leaning against the wood silently. Slowly she shed her clothes off and turned the water onto the hottest setting she could stand. She jumped into streaming hot water and let it run over her body for now. She'd start scrubbing in a few moments.

Melody had squealed at the top of her lungs when her mother had informed her that Eve was having a last minute sleepover with her. She loved her best friend more than words could explain and it made it even better than her sister was best friends with Eve's mum. It meant they saw each other all the time. Especially since Eve's mum tended to let Eve have surprise sleepovers... a lot. She shrugged. She didn't care about the reasons though, she just loved that she saw Eve all the time.
She had also discovered that because of when Eve's birthday fell, they would be going to school at the same time too! Which made life 100% more exciting than it would've been if they'd been in different years. When Grace dropped off Eve through the floo network, Mels squealed again and hugged her best friend. "First we should make cookies, and then we should find Bastian and get him to play dress up with us, and then we should eat the cookies, and then we could play hide and seek, and then..." Her list went on and on before she suddenly shut her mouth and looked at Eve. She giggled and shrugged. "Or we can do whatever you want! I don't care!"

spaceAiobheal knew something weird was going on with her parents; it wasn't like her mum was all that subtle about it, obviously she'd sent her off to the Blythe's so she could talk to her dad about something. The child didn't quite know what it was, but something was clearly up, and Mum didn't want her around during whatever it was. She was sort of concerned, but was gonna let it go. She figured it it was important, she'd find out soon enough, and in the meantime, she got to stay the night with Mels. She'd call that a win, especially if it meant she didn't have to listen to her parents argue or something. It wasn't like she was eavesdropping, or really ever heard much of anything, but she heard enough to know they were upset with each other sometimes, which she hated.
spaceWhatever, they could argue as much as they wanted when she wasn't home, she told herself. She was going to have fun with Mels! The girl shoved down all her worries and offered her best friend a wide grin, clapping enthusiastically and bouncing on the balls of her feet. "No, that sounds great! I'm always down for cookies! And dress up, and hide and seek! Plus, it's way better to do that here, your dad's got all those plants and stuff. And an actual back yard," she said with a giggle. She liked living in the flat with her parents, but it was a bit small sometimes. Plus she really needed new furniture, she wasn't a little kid anymore, after all! She was going to start Hogwarts year after next, she was a big girl!
spaceShe rocked on her heels a bit, then called out, "Mrs. Blyyyyyyythe! Can we make coooooookiiiiiiiies?" giving the brunette woman the sweetest expression she could manage when she appeared. Nat sighed a bit and rolled her eyes, but nodded. "Alright, fine, you two. C'mon, into the kitchen with you," she said with a laugh, and Eve cheered, racing after Mels' mum. "What kind of cookies? Oh, oh, let's make snickerdoodles!" she said, climbing up on one of the chairs. Nat shook her head, but started grabbing things out of the cabinet all the same. "Let's just try not to make too much of a mess, alright, girls?" she asked, and Eve nodded enthusiastically. "We'll be so, so neat and tidy!" she said, even though she knew she was probably lying. She and Mels weren't really all that tidy when they were together. But they were just kids!

spaceAiobheal grinned widely when Mels' mum presented them with the supplies for cookie making. She shook her head at the younger girl, snickering. "Nuh-uh, I'm gonna eat all of 'em. None for the twins," she teased, then looked up for Mrs. Blythe. "Where's the recipe?" she asked curiously, noticing that while the woman had gotten out the flour, eggs, butter, etc, she hadn't grabbed a cookbook or anything. Natasha just smiled. "I don't need a recipe," she told the girls with a wink, and then handed Eve a set of measuring cups. "Measure out 2 and 3/4 cups of flour while I preheat the oven. Melody, get the pans ready. This'll make plenty of cookies, don't worry. There will be plenty for the both of you and the twins." The auburn-haired child pouted somewhat at not being able to simply read and follow the recipe. She had a feeling that Mels' mum was trying to minimize how much of a mess they could make by ensuring that they had to wait on her to do anything. She dutifully measured out the flour, then looked up. "What next?" she asked, and smiled as Nat led her through measuring out and whisking together the dry ingredients. "How many eggs do we need? Can we both crack one?" she asked. Everyone knew that the best part of baking was getting to crack the eggs, after all. Nat shook her head. "Be patient, we're not there yet," she said, and Eve pouted. In response, the woman rolled her eyes indulgently. "It's two eggs, so yes, you can both crack an egg," she said, earning a pleased expression from the girl.

Riley knocked on the door. He was fidgety. Of course he was fidgety. From the way Olyvia had reacted, he had a feeling this entire family could kill him without blinking an eye if he made one wrong move. And the way she said "my dad is dead" was so definite. Like she knew for sure. Even though the records only showed him as missing. It had seemed like she knew something he didn't know, and he had a feeling he didn't really want to know. Whatever had happened to Vincent, he had it coming.
By his side, Chase stood, looking somewhere between annoyed, and excited. She hadn't much wanted to come, but she had also known he didn't want to face this alone. He pat her shoulder gently. "Thanks for coming with me..." He muttered, and she shrugged.
"You're the only family I have... you're practically my da.... I wasn't going to make you come to some creepy a** family by yourself where you might get murdered." He blinked and rolled his eyes, she was always so dramatic. He didn't actually think they would murder him. It wasn't like he'd done anything wrong. The only crime he'd committed was being brothers to Vincent, and he barely knew the man. He was 14 years younger than him after all. "Anyways, don't you think we're a bit overdressed. It's a dinner, not a movie premiere." He shrugged, smoothing out his own button up shirt.
"I didn't want them to think we were some shabby family trying to mooch off them or anything." Chase rolled her eyes, but before she could say anything else, the door swung open, answered by Olyvia, the shop owner whom he'd already met. She was wearing a simple high waisted skirt and top, and Chase gave him a pointed look, which he ignored. "Hey Olyvia... Uhh this is Chase, my uhhh kid I guess?" He still really didn't know what to call Chase, but his kid was the closest he could come to something. She wasn't really his sister since he'd raised her since she was a baby, so she was basically his daughter.
Olyvia nodded, and offered Chase a smile before leading the way into the cottage and calling out to her family. "Nat! Jon! Mels! Bastian! Chelle! Ada!" Her voice bounced through the cottage and she was sure they all heard her. Riley rubbed the back of his head, and followed her into the cottage. She stopped in front of a table that was obviously already set for dinner. "So uhh... which ones are your sisters... or my nieces I guess?"

spaceThanks to the almost unearthly quiet in the cottage, Adalaide heard the pair approaching before they knocked on the door. With a complete lack of shame, she eavesdropped on the short conversation the Catlins had on her parent's front porch, a brow arched in surprise. "There's two of them, the man and a girl," she said softly, informing her parents of the unexpected guest. Her father's mouth drew into a tighter line, and her mother blinking at her oddly, lips readying to form a question she quickly realized it'd be stupid to ask. "How do you know," it would have been, Ada thought, almost amused. Before anyone could speak, though, the knock sounded, and Lyv was on her feet, Jon not far behind. Ada smirked faintly, thinking that, if this Riley was truly harmless, he was going to have a hell of a time proving it. Her father was like a shark in the water, ready to zero in on the faintest trace of blood.
spaceThe Hufflepuff offered a bland glance to Michelle, resting her chin on her fist. "No fires tonight, Chelle," she reminded the snake. From beside her, she heard Sebastian scoff. The child had done nothing but glare at Michelle since they'd arrived. Her parents, of course, had done a little more than that. Neither had known about their eldest daughter being held hostage until she was sane. Maybe it was her in-laws rubbing off on her, but she'd seen no need to trouble them with the information. They didn't need to see how bad Michelle had gotten, she'd reasoned. They'd blame themselves, when really, only the smallest portion of blame was theirs to claim. Ada had blamed herself, too, for a while, but continually reminded herself that the Slytherin was her own person, entitled to her own decisions... even if they were stupid ones. They'd tried to guide her as best they could, it wasn't their fault she'd resisted. Perhaps the could have seen the signs sooner, but Michelle's stubbornness was at least partially to blame for their continued blindness. In the end, Ada hadn't lied to her parents, would never lie to them, but she'd certainly not given much in the way of detail. They'd stared suspiciously for a moment, but held their tongues, which Ada was grateful for. This night was going to be complicated enough without that conversation.
spaceWith a tilt of her head, she listened in on her sister and father's greeting of the pair. "Jonathan Blythe," was her father's rather brusque greeting. She could practically see him stiffly offering his hand, the tight line of his lips, the narrowing of his eyes. There wasn't another word, just the movement of the group to the dining room, where the rest of the family sat, all with various levels of trepidation. She saw Jon's glare when the man, Riley, asked which of the group were Lyv's sisters, obviously not placated by his correction to 'my nieces.' "I believe it'd be best if you introduced yourself first," he said stiffly. Nat frowned at her husband. Of them all, she was the least suspicious. The most optimistic. Jon was all but convinced the man was as bad as Lyv's father had been, and Nat was insistent that wasn't the case. Ada considered herself the realist in this situation, equally open to both possibilities, hoping for neither, just waiting. "Jonathan, your manners," she said insistently, offering an apologetic look to Riley. The brunette rose, offering the man her hand. "I'm Natasha Blythe, the girl's adoptive mother," she said kindly, though no real adoption had ever taken place, with the exception of Melody. Still, in spite of her mother's supposed optimism, Ada couldn't help but notice the way she stepped between Riley and the table, as if to shield her children from his gaze.
spaceThe blonde watched her mother, wondering how much of her happy hostess act was just that, an act. Was she really as open-minded as she'd said, or was she simply trying not to upset Lyv with the truth of her thoughts? "Mum, I do believe this is the part where you ask if they'd like to sit," Ada noted, gesturing towards the table. Nat shot her a look, and Ada arched a brow. The situation was tense enough without her crouching in front of them, as if he couldn't see them around her slight frame. Besides, she was a muggle. Not exactly the best first line of defense, comparatively. Sebastian would almost be better, considering he did have magic and a wand, not that he knew what to do with either just yet.
spaceNotably, Riley's seat was not, as custom would have dictated, across from her father's. Jonathan had seemed unwilling to let the man sit with his whole family between them, and so instead, the empty seat was next to her father's at the head of the table, opposite her mother... and next to Adalaide. Natasha cleared her throat, her own gesture following the line of her daughter's. "Ah, well. I'll have to grab another table setting... We were only expecting you," she said, eyeing the girl with him curiously. Ada wondered if she should have filled the others in on what little she'd gathered from the porch conversation, but there hadn't been time. Besides, it would've been rude to have the pair walk in on the rest of them gossiping. The Hufflepuff watched her mother sidle over to the china cabinet, grabbing another plate, another glass, more silverware. The girl's seat ended up separating Ada from her... father? Clearly not biologically from their conversation, but there were many ways to become someone's father. Still, Ada was somewhat irked at having been separated from him. She'd liked having him between herself and her father... It gave them an advantage, should things go badly. But, she couldn't say anything to her mother, not without it being obvious why. Still, if there was any sort of altercation, it would be two against at least three, possibly four if Lyv saw fit to take part. And Ada was a vampire, and Michelle was... something. They had the advantage, in any case.

Beater For The English Quidditch Team
Riley winced as Jonathan stiffly...scolded him. Basically. If this was any other situation, he would have grumbled about how he wasn't a ******** child. Of course this wasn't any situation and Riley wasn't stupid enough to make snide comments and have them think he was Vincent 2.0. He pursed his lips and glanced at the entire family. "Uhhh I'm Riley, and this is.... Chase Morris. She's my kid... kinda?" He shrugged, and ruffed up his hair anxiously, which got him a curious look from both Olyvia and the platinum haired older girl whom looked like she could easily slit his throat without batting an eye.
At his comment, Chase had rolled her eyes and offered Natasha and Jonathan a kind smile. "I'm Chase Morris. Riley's raised me since birth cuz my parents died. He was my older sister's best friend.... But she's gone now so its just me and him." She declined to mention August and Dani. They barely counted as family anymore at this point. "I'm a seventh year at Hogwarts, and a hufflepuff. I know you're suspisious of him and all, and I mean after hearing what his brother did to you guys... I don't blame you, but I mean... he's a good guy. But I guess that doesn't really mean much coming from a 17 year old you barely know does it?" She shrugged and looked at the floor. God she was awkward wasn't she? She still didn't know why she'd come. Apparently they didn't even know she was coming which just made it all the more awkward for her.
When seats were offered to them, the two graciously sat down. She was seated next to the blonde who had called Natasha mum. She offered her a small smile in hopes that maybe at least one person wasn't terrified they were going to murder them or something. If anyone was capable of murder it was the quiet platinum haired girl sitting a seat away. She looked like she had killed before honestly. Chase was actually pretty sure she recognized the girl from the Fall Festival where her sister had been murdered. She'd faced vampires with no fear at all. That was scary.
Michelle was sitting silently through it all, only giving them a glance at the hair ruffling. He was definitely related. Olyvia did the same damn thing when she was feeling anxious. Michelle was tapping her fingers silently against her leg, trying to avoid twitching. She was mostly sane again, but that didn't erase everything that had happened, and beyond all that, she was most definitely going through what she had affectionately dubbed 'Tay Withdrawals'. They made her twitchy at best and all out anxious at worst. She slowly stretched her neck out, cracking it, before turning her attention to the man just as Olyvia spoke up.
"To answer your question. Michelle is my older sister, but she's adopted, and Melody is my younger sister." The look Riley got when he glanced at Michelle was terrifying to say the least. While Melody's look was a mix between fear and curiosity. He was about to say something when Michelle spoke up.
"I'm not going to play nice with you." She barely contained herself from spitting the word scum at him. "You hurt them, you even think about hurting them, I will-" She cut herself off as a sharp kick from Ada paused her words and she narrowed her eyes at her best friend but left it at that. By the look on his face, that was enough. Silently she tapped her fingers and entered his mind. Legilimency was a great skill to have after all. As far as she could tell he held no ill barrings towards them all and a ton of anger towards Vincent. And since he had no idea she was a legilimens it was highly doubtful that he was hiding anything from her on purpose. She wasn't sure why everyone hadn't just asked her to delve into his mind and find everything to make sure he was clean. Probably because they weren't sure they could trust her either. She didn't blame them. She was an awful human being. The screams from the fire she'd set in Hogsmeade still haunted her at night. The begs for mercy from Vincent still echoed in her mind. He had broken her. Ruined her. She could barely even function some days. The voices of her past screaming at her, screeching about her wrong doings. She twitched and pushed the memories from her mind. She couldn't break down right now thanks. She'd only just regrown her nails from her last break down.
Riley shifted uncomfortably in his chair. He was correct in his assumption that she could kill. He could feel it just from her unspoken threat."So uhh.... do you want to know more about me? I mean I didn't really even know Vincent. I was 4 the last time I saw him. I was a Ravenclaw. I graduated with... pretty crappy grades honestly... I play for the English Quidditch Team. Sage, Chase's older sister, brought her family to me when their parents died and I took them all in. My life has pretty much been raising Chase and playing quidditch since then." He rambled on until Chase tapped his leg with her finger and he realized he was talking a lot and trailed off.

spaceThe swiftly delivered kick was accompanied by a glare, the reproachful look and tilt of her head intended to remind that she didn't need to resort to threats right out of the gate. Truthfully, the only reason Ada had let the Slytherin come was because, in this instance, she was useful. Otherwise, seemingly almost-sane or not, she'd be at home with Chris and the kids. Unlike her parents, Ada was well aware of Michelle's abilities, and had wanted them used. It was the easiest, least painful way to discover Riley's true intentions. Apparently, the snake remembered herself, because there was a short moment of silence from her, an intent look on her face. Ada didn't have to ask what she was doing.
spaceWhen she didn't immediately attack, the Hufflepuff relaxed, significantly so, the tension very obviously leaving her shoulders. Her father eyed her curiously, obviously realizing something he didn't understand had transpired. She imagined he was once again questioning what she was capable of nowadays, not knowing that it was Michelle who had that particular gift. "Daddy, sit," she said, and with a confused expression, he complied. As Riley spoke, she listened intently, noting the nerves. He was rambling; she could relate. She'd done that a lot, once upon a time. After a moment of consideration, Ada nudged her elder sister under the table again, softly this time, unnoticed by everyone else, and very subtly gestured with a tilt of her head to the girl, Chase. It was unlikely that Riley had hidden anything from Michelle, but possible. People who had things to hide were often paranoid, so even without knowing that the silver-eyed girl was skilled at legilimency, he might be shielding his thoughts instinctively. Focusing on the image he wanted to present, rather than the reality. She didn't get any sense that there was something going on between him and his daughter, but that didn't mean the girls' mind didn't warrant a look as well.
spaceWhen the man abruptly stopped speaking, Ada coughed, another gesture of her head, this time directed at her mother. Nat blinked oddly, then caught on. "Oh! Right, um, well, we were just waiting on you, so, uh, feel free to help yourselves," she said, blushing faintly at her lapse in manners. She hesitated a moment, then began making her own plate, apparently deciding that it made more sense to lead by example than to allow her guests to go first. Jon and Sebastian followed suit. Ada did as well, taking much smaller portions, earning a weird look from her younger brother, who shrugged after a moment. Sometimes, Sebastian forgot she was supposed to pretend to be 'normal'. Playfully, the blonde flicked a pea at her younger brother, who scowled. "Aren't you s'posed to be a mum?" he asked, as if her being a mother meant that she was not allowed to flick peas at him. "Not tonight, I'm not," she said cheerfully, flicking another pea.
spaceJon coughed this time, rather loudly, giving the pair a look. "My other two children, Adalaide and Sebastian," he said drolly, and Ada flicked a pea at him as well. "I don't know why you're getting all bent out of shape, you're the one I get it from," she sang, and he rolled his eyes. "Peas are for eating, Adalaide," Natasha said pointedly. Sebastian coughed and muttered something that sounded rather like, "Not when you're a vampire," earning a frown from Ada, but she was pretty sure she'd been the only one to actually hear it. Hopefully.
spaceApparently remembering himself, Sebastian gave Riley a glare now, as if he wanted to be in on the interrogation. "What do you want with Lyv and Mels, anyway?" he asked. "It's been years, we never even heard of you." Natasha scowled at her son, but didn't reprimand. Honestly, that was the question they'd all wanted to ask, wasn't it? And as sweet as he was, the boy had a protective and possessive streak a mile wide. When Ada and Chris had moved their family to Hogsmeade, he'd gotten upset that they hadn't come back to Ottery St. Catchpole instead. "You could have lived next door," he'd pouted, even though the homes on either side of the cottage were currently very much occupied. Ada imagined that the idea of his sisters somehow being taken away from him was very upsetting. Indeed, she swore she saw him scoot marginally closer to Melody, as if to keep Riley from deciding she was his now and kidnapping the girl.

Beater For The English Quidditch Team
Michelle immediately noticed Ada's look and subtle glance at Chase, and concentrated quietly on the young girl. Since her recent break with sanity, Michelle had spent a lot of time concentrating on her legillimency. Mostly because it calmed her mind and brought her back better than anything else. It was something to focus on besides her own thoughts. She delved into the young Hufflepuff's mind curiously. There was a lot of pain in there. More pain than a girl that age should feel. Michelle knew what that was like. But it wasn't pain from the same things as the snake. Death and destruction of her own family, but not from Riley. No all she could find was love and admiration for Riley. That was a good sign. Her finger relaxed on her own skin and she left the girl's mind. As far as she could tell, and she could tell better than anyone else in the room, they weren't a threat.
Why they had chose now to seek them out Michelle wasn't sure. It seemed like it just happened to finally be a good time to track them down. She glanced at Nat when she started speaking, and tried a small smile. It didn't feel quite right on her lips though. She hadn't really smiled much in the past few years. Maybe with Tay, but she even doubted that. Their relationship wasn't so much smiling and being cute together like Ada and Chris it was more trying to keep each other alive and shagging in their free time. Not that she didn't love him, or that he didn't love her, it just wasn't spoken. It didn't matter.
She quietly took some food on her plate and picked at it silently. If she said anything, it would probably come out as a threat anyways. Chase on the other hand was happy to chatter."Sebastian you look about the right age. Will you be attending Hogwarts this year?"She asked curiously. Before her question could be answered though, Sebastian posed his own to Riley. Chase hushed up to let him answer that one. She didn't much want to speak about what had delayed him.
Riley blinked for a few slow seconds and then frowned. "Well, I was looking for my brother originally. Hoping to reconnect. I found out about what he had done to your family, and before I could search for his kids, a lot of things happened to my own family. I'm sure you remember the fall festival where the vampires attacked? One of them killed Sage while she was there with Chase and her older sister Adrienne. Someone must have grabbed the two of them and ran with them because they survived, but only a few months later, Adrienne got hit by a car while they were out playing.... The two deaths sent the family into a downward spiral, so I really didn't have time to do anything but take care of them up until now." He glanced down at his lap awkwardly, and toyed with the food on his plate. He hadn't meant to be a downer, but the boy had asked why it'd been years. "As to why you've never heard of me, I couldn't tell you. I was 4 when Vincent left, and I haven't seen him since. I think he had something against the family or something. I dunno. Or maybe he was just mad at the world. So if he never told you guys about me, I wouldn't know why. You have cousin's by the way. Avalon and Bristain." He'd also heard rumours that Avalon had been pregnant, so they possibly had more cousins than he knew of. Although whether a baby could survive in that wild child's body or not was still up to the jury.

spaceAdalaide watched Michelle carefully to ensure that she'd understood the message, and to see the result. Again, she watched the snake for her reaction to whatever it was she read in the girl's mind, though with far less concern than when it'd been Riley's mind being invaded. This was just to be certain, after all. The lack of a violent reaction from Michelle eased the last of Ada's worries. The odds of the younger girl being able to keep someone out and protect a dangerous secret was relatively slim. Satisfied that they weren't a threat, Ada's curiosity peaked, her younger brother's question suddenly the focus of her attention. It was odd, she agreed, that they'd never even heard of this man, and that he'd never before sought them out.
spaceThe man's explanation sounded reasonable enough, she supposed. Personally, it felt a bit like over-sharing to her mind, but it was probably for the best. Had he not given the information up freely, they'd have simply asked questions until he answered. There was a nervous look exchanged between Jon and Nat at the mention of vampires and the festival, both wondering how the man would react to his daughter being seated next to one. Ada stifled the urge to roll her eyes, not caring very much about it. She had pumpkin juice in her glass, food on her plate, and was consuming both. There was no need to worry what the man would think when he wasn't supposed to know to begin with. Sebastian had shot the man an odd look at the comment as well, torn between wary and a fierce protectiveness. If they were lucky, he'd keep his mouth shut. He was usually pretty good at that, though.
spaceThe Blythes collected themselves, thankfully, Jon sobering and offering a sympathetic look. "I'm sorry you've been through so much," he said, the comment clearly directed more towards Chase than Riley. It wasn't a surprise, really, since he was more inclined to worry about a child than an adult. A moment of silence drug out, and Natasha turned to Sebastian. "Bastian, dear, Chase asked you a question," she reminded him gently, prompting the boy to scowl at his mother, drawn from whatever thoughts had been occupying his mind.
spaceNoting that her brother didn't seem inclined to answer, Ada rolled her eyes, flicking another pea at him. "He's starting this year," she said cheerfully. "My sweet ickle Bas is going to Hogwarts. I remember when he was the size of a mandrake." The blonde boy scowled at his sister's dramatics, crossing his arms. "You're still the size of a mandrake," he declared, blowing a raspberry to punctuate. "How do you even teach? Do you have to stand on your desk so your students can see you?"
space"Ahem," Jonathan coughed, giving the pair a tired expression. He swore, he didn't know what it was about being around her brother, but it turned Ada back into a child. He swore that the twins were more mature than their mother half the time. "Ada teaches Potions for years four through seven," he explained, not sure what year Chase was or if she were even taking the course. His daughter nodded happily, taking a small bite of her chicken. "Last year was my first," she added, more than a little pleased with herself. She'd been pretty sure that at the very least, she'd be a rather unremarkable teacher, and at worst her students would positively hate her. In the beginning, she was pretty sure they had, given that they'd all seemed very out of sorts over the scheduling of her lesson. But, she'd been awarded Professor of the Year, so she figured she can't have been that bad.
