SAO (Sword Art Online; should have mentioned that from the very begining. Sorry.) is your bog standard 'trapped in a videogame' anime, but the plot is more drawn out and the main character was a Beta Tester that never got really far. I started watching it and a lot of the science sounds plausible, especially with the use of specific frequences and waves. The song is War of Change by Thousand Foot Crutch
