I shall set the need to know here and in the spoiler will be what you don't need to know but if you want to know more about the story than sure.
The original vampires, known as the Old Family, have walked the earth for thousands of years. Always in shadows, always blending in with their human counterparts, taking blood and leaving behind only myths and legends. But in the twentieth-century, they made themselves known—for reasons still not understood. At first, they were seen as an anomaly, a mutation, a sickness that needed our understanding and sympathy. But then everyone wanted to join them, longing for the immortality that they held. One by one, people were turned. Eventually, the world governments took action, quarantining vampires, treating them as second-class citizens that had to be controlled lest they gain the upper hand. It was too late. War was already approaching, and when it came, the Old Family unleashed their armies of vampires. It took thirty long years of bloodshed, but in the end, the vampire’s fear of the sun was nothing compared to their strength and resilience in the trenches. The VampHu treaty was signed, and all humans were placed within walled cities, each one massive, but cut off from the rest of the world; each one watched over by an Old Family Lord. Humans are never allowed to leave the city, and vampires never allowed to enter. At least, that’s how it was suppose to be … Even the strongest walls have cracks, some that run into the very foundation upon which this new society was built. There are whispers of change, but they're just whispers. For now.
The story starts about ten years after the war, where a young girl who only just turned 17, her parents died on the way back from dealing with the lord of their city. The moment the carriage was discovered Dawn, the 17 year old, became the youngest delegate to the Old Family that rules over her city. She finds herself with her best friend at a party and the best friend almost gets raped because of a drug. After Dawn saves Tegan, they both head home via trolley. Tegan is passed out due to the drug and Dawn has to protect her from the vampires on the trolley. Dawn is almost subdued and killed when someone snatches two of the vampires off the train with loud screaming. And a pale male comes onto the train and saves the day, soon taking the passed out Tegan and the injured Dawn to an abandoned theater. Dawn thinks that the savior is a Nightwatchmen, a group of people who protects the citizens from vampires, and trusts him. The male soon takes them to his car, cars are very rare, and takes them close to Dawn's apartment building. Not giving them a name or even a good look at his face.
The next Day Dawn gets ready for her first delegate meeting with Lord Valentine and as soon as it's dark a carriage arrives for her. As she is talking to Lord Valentine, the Vampire's son comes into the room and Dawn is furious t find out that her savior was a vampire, an OLD FAMILY VAMPIRE. As the first book goes by, she realizes that Victor Valentine isn't as bad as his father, and in fact that vampire kills his father and becomes the new lord valentine. A new student causes a huge ruckus when he turns out to be a vampire that can walk in the sun, and tries to make the whole student population that way. Dawn and most of the students get away, but Dawn is also being chased by a maniacal vampire who turns out to be her dead brother turned Vamp.
Victor and the brother duke it out and Victor wins at the cost of almost dying and Dawn gives him her blood causing her to go into a coma. Then starts the second book which goes through a sequence of Dawn her now ex-bofriend Michael, and Tegan getting on the Night Train, a train that travels between the towns taking passengers to different towns and to deliver extra blood to other areas. They are on the train to Los Angelos and when they get there they realize that the town is overrun by day walking Vamps. In an attempt to escape the crew now adding two Old FAmily Vamps and a vampire hunter to the mix, take the train but Dawn adn Michael don't make it! The original Day Walker takes the two to a secret place in a mountain and show Dawn his ancestor. An Old Family Vamp that wasm't supposed to be alive. When Sin, the first Day Walker, explains who the old vamp is. Dawn is a VAMPIRE!!!! Wah??!
In the third book the two get away from crazy mountain and they have to fight as Dawn then makes a journey to the vampire counsel and Dawn is put on it after a crazy attempt on someone's life. She is now the only human on the council because she is part Vampire. Then they kill Sin. That is all.
They said that the war was carelessly fought. That the humans didn't do much to stave off the blood-thirsty Vampires.A thirty year war was just fought and any humans that were opposed to vampires were striked down and killed. The world would never be the same. Thirty years, of human on human violence, with people unsure who was a vampire and who wasn't. Vampire on Vampire violence where the two fought over who got their prey's blood. No mention what so ever of the next kill.
Oh there were those who just gave in, and in order to cease needless killing, the Old Family Vampires turned them. Oh it was a difficult experience for those fool hardy enough to agree to be turned, the blood of a vampire slowly kills you in a very painful way. And not but twenty minutes after the death you come back. Several thousand people were turned. And several Million killed. But as our history teachers tell us, we only managed to kill three Old Families.... That's a huge accomplishment. But we failed. We didn't rid ourselves of them...
Story is simple, One Hundred years after the thirty year vampire human war, only three cities remain and they are surrounded by walls. Twenty feet high, and ten feet wide. Each kept maintained by the Old Family governing it. The city has a council to run the city, but the council will have one delegate that reports to the Old Family Vampire, and the delegate is chosen by him or her. Once every month the delegate makes his/her way to the Home of the Lord Vampire and they let the lord know any problems within the city. The Lord also tells the Delegate any problems he or she is having that will be taken back to the city and put on top priority.
Well a new delegate has been picked, and the first problem to arise is an over flow of vampires. These are not ordinary vampires, these are vampires turned by a banished Old Family. And this old family was able to mate with humans to create the Dhampir. The Dhampir are vampires who can walk in sunlight and are not harmed by it. The new Lord wants the delegate to find out where this Old Family Vampire is hiding. Will they die first?

The Social Stature
The Humans
The Agency President - The president is the 'Mayor' of the city. He appoints people to look after the parts of the city. When things go wrong, they are reported to him/her.
Delegate - The delegate is the person that the Head of the Old Family appoints to meet with them.
Night Watchment - A secret group that protects the city from vampires. They work for the President but even the president doesn't know their actual names or faces.
Guardian - The Person set as the Delegate's guardian and 'parent' if none are available.
Everyone Else - The rest of the population of each city goes to school or works in different factories. In this particular case there are two. Coal and Other Minerals.Otherwise some are placed as vegetation gatherers and farmers.
The Vampires
Head Of House - The Head vampire is the Vampire who is over the rest of the clan or 'Old Family'. It is uncommon for it to be female since females are very very uncommon.
Second in line - Usually the eldest son, or eldest born. These are trained in high proximity to understand what is happening. Not always the person who takes over the house.
Family Representative - The Eldest in the family who is still alive, they sit on the vampire council and make decisions for the good of the entire race.
Lessers - Vampires who were turned, not born Vampires. They are considered lesser because they cannot mate, reproduce, and are not as elegant as those who were born. They are usually servants.
Follow GAIA TOS I don't want anything over PG 15. You know what Time Skip means so use it, No god modding. Yes Vampires have alot going for them. But that doesn't mean you can just take over everything! They are not immortal! Pm me you profile under "Stars, stars everywhere" Please put an oops in there somewher.
