From the skies, thunder roared. In the night, children whispered, "Sachiko-san, if you please." Beneath their feet, the earth screamed. And thus, the start of the end.

Setting: - Heavenly Host Elementary School
Weather: - Rainy - Gloomy - Slightly chilly
A note: The setting of the school is very, very complicated to explain. I would advise one to be familiar with the concept of the series to roleplay, or else everything will just seem obfuscately muddy.

*~Hari Kaneko~* The sound of rain was quite deafening, that combined with the chilling bite of the frosty air made the young fashionista shiver. At least that's what she was telling herself, it wasn't like the overall creepy feeling that seemed to permeate the school she found herself in was getting to her. Nope. She was currently sitting on the floor in some classroom, or at least that's what the surroundings looked like to her. What had happened? Why was she here? Hearing the pitter-patter of rain she sighed as she adjusted her horribly short skirt.
Some would say she was going against every rule, but Hari didn't care. So what if she liked to do compensated dating? It was her life. Right? What did she care about what society thought of her? She tanned her skin...got piercings, bleached her hair, all to escape from the standard norm.
Shaking her head some she finally stood up, though just as she began to walk something dropped in front of her from the ceiling, “Kyaaaa!” In her shock she tripped and fell backwards, hitting her head which knocked her out.
Darkness...was all she could see, inky blackness. She was back at the high school, attending with all her friends. She noticed two familiar figures and waved to them, but they started to walk away. That was when the world started to bend and twist and she felt a chill, which made her wake back up. Hari cracked open an eye, what had happened? That was when she saw the corpse again and she clamped her hands over her mouth to stifle the scream and the bile rising in her throat.
“Is...Is that?” She couldn't believe what she saw in front of her eyes, this was some sort of sick prank, right? Hari wasn't seeing a hung corpse dangling in front of her, “Wh-what?” She could feel her chest tightening as she slowly got up, what was this place? Why did they have corpses around here?! This wasn't a normal school. As if to answer her a howl echoed through the room and she shook some in fright as she felt a chill ghost over her, “I'm...like...totally getting outta here.” She said aloud, that was when she felt something touch the back of her head, “Kyaa! Like! Screw you!” That was when she bolted out of the creepy room, finding herself running down the hallway, as she turned a corner she tripped on a fallen and rotted piece of wood which made her fall flat on her face.
Shaking some Hari used her arms to prop herself up, “Nnn...” Where were her friends? Why was she here? What did she do to deserve such horrors?
Hari could feel herself getting sick, she needed to calm down, getting scared was going to do nothing for her, "Just like, calm down girl. Calm down...” She needed to be rational, now...how did she get here? Hari needed to think. Think....why was this so hard for her? Just as a thought about how she got her came to her head she felt another chill and got up to run to a nearby janitor's closet before hiding herself inside. Hiding from what? She didn't know, all she knew was she needed protection for now.
Sliding down the door she went back to thinking of how she came to this horror filled place.
Hari had just gotten done with one of her...clients, an older man who usually paid her quite a bit, he never asked for anything other than company and something to hang on his arm. That was when she had noticed she was late for school. Hari was thinking of ditching class, but for some reason, she didn't this time. So she excused herself from her 'date' for the time, collected her fee and walked off towards school, fixing up her make-up on the way and re-adjusting her hair. That was how she found herself in class, utterly bored out of her mind and fixing her eyeliner, while the teacher rambled off something about homeroom that she really didn't care much for.
During her first period one of her friends burst out crying in the middle of class over her boyfriend dumping her for another girl. After the task of calming her down, the rest of the time passed as she chatted with her friends. Exchanging tips on fashion and the latest styles.
Afterward...she went with a group of her friends to do a ritual she had read about. It was an interesting thing, and Hari didn't think anything would actually come of it, it was called Sachiko Ever After or something like that, it had a really odd name. Anyway, she had convinced the group to meet after school in an abandoned classroom to perform it. Everyone had gathered in a circle, witch each of them holding a part of the paper charm doll she had designed, they then began to chant. However...someone, she wasn't sure who was not participating much, the air then chilled and the floor broke through casting the group in darkness.
That was when she woke up and saw that...horrid corpse.
“Like, really? That dumb thing actually, like, worked? Like..wow.” Hari then fished around her person before finding a small piece of paper stuck in between her bra, she still had the piece of paper then. Glancing at the paper she noticed it was the left leg of the paper doll, well...that was ominous. That was when she heard a clawing sound at the door she was against and gasped as she leaned against the door even more, putting all her wait against it to make sure whatever was outside there, had stayed outside there. Noticing the paper she still had clutched she stuffed it back in her bra. No one would dare go down there, so she was pretty sure it was quite safe.
When the clawing at the door had stopped, Hari breathed out a sigh of relief. She could survive this, she was the pretty one after all, didn't they always survive in horror? Wait...did they? They...did...right?
Hari stood still for a couple of seconds as the thought processed in her head, “Like...Crap!” That was when she felt something touch her thigh and she shrieked again looking up and noticing two glowing red eyes in the dark, her leg also felt pained, in fact....The teenager looked down and noticed some dark red wetness, was...was that, “Blood?!” She then panicked and threw open the door, running down the halls once more, if she was here, were the others here too? It...It was worth a try, right?
“Hotaka!” Hari cried out in fear as she continued to run, ignoring the pain in her leg, “Eiji!” She then stumbled a bit and regained her balance as she hopped forward and sprinted down the hall, that was when she felt something drip down her cheek. Coming to a stop, she noticed she was starting to cry, probably from utter fear. Chancing a look behind her, Hari turned around, nothing was there. Just the howling of the wind echoing through the halls of the school.
Was she safe? Wait...she couldn't be safe, that was when her knees bucked some and she collapsed in a heap, she was scared. So scared. This wasn't supposed to happen, the ritual was just a fun thing, nothing was supposed to happen. Something then echoed inside her mind, wait. What was it she read? There, was something ominous in what she read. That was when a memory flashed in her head, she was at home on the computer, chatting to her friends overseas. Though her mother frowned upon such relations, they were telling her of something they learned before they left Tokyo. It was about the Sachiko ritual, nothing would happen if it was performed correctly.
Hari paused, so...that meant they had screwed up somewhere?
If she found whoever screwed up the ritual, she would slap them so hard! Right across their face! Her anger was stilled however as a voice echoed across the hall she was in, which put her on alert again, “Who's there?” Then again, was that the wisest question to ask? That was how people usually died in horror movies. They would ask who's there and then end up splattered across the floor in a bloody mess. The thought of that happening sent a chill up her spine, nope she was too pretty to die like that.
“Whoever is there. Stay back!” She called out, still not sure who she was speaking to, maybe it was the spirit of Sachiko? ...Her body tensed as her breathing became worse, she...she needed to calm down. Just calm down and nothing bad would happen. Then again her leg hurt, glancing down at her leg she looked confused as all the blood and the giant gash had vanished.
...What?
So, was the injury ever there? The pain in her leg said yes, but...what happened? Shaking it off she assumed she imagined it. Maybe this whole thing was being imagined? Hari closed her eyes, she took a couple of breaths and opened them. Nope, still a horrid, dank hallway in an abandoned school. She closed her eyes once more, this time when she opened them she saw a pair of red eyes staring straight at her face in front of her, “Like! No!” She then turned around and bolted again, okay, she was scared. Hari was completely and utterly scared. There was only horror and strange things happening, she couldn't see anyone else. There was weird, ghostly crap happening. This was just a horrible experience overall. Hari didn't like this...she didn't like this feeling and she just wanted everything to stop right now!
Her mini tantrum over, the teenager found herself at a dead end. That...That was a horrible word to think of right now. Dead end. It carried so many connotations to it. Right now, she didn't want to be anywhere close to such a horrible phrase. So she turned around and ducked inside what seemed to be a classroom. Though everything was in disarray tubes and glass were shattered, the chalkboard didn't even look like one anymore.
That was when Hari took out her piece of the paper doll, it was just the left leg of the paper...maybe...maybe she needed to do the ritual again? Would that be wise though? It wasn't the smartest decision right now, was it? ...Like Hari cared, she'd just have to go back, her friends probably weren't even here! She had been running and hadn't seen any of them after all, she'd be completely fine! Yep.
Holding out the paper doll's left leg she closed her eyes, “Sachiko, we beg of you!” Nothing happened, wait, wasn't she supposed to rip the piece of paper? Closing her eyes she tried again, “Sachiko, we beg of yo-” That was when the slip of paper blew from her hands. Hari's eyes widened as she grabbed at the piece, however it slipped through a crack in the floorboards. The piece was gone. Her chance of escaping was gone. Everything...was ruined.
Staring at the floor space for a couple of seconds in shock she screamed once more, “Dammit!” She pounded the floor over and over again, hoping something would happen, maybe it would come back? Maybe if she threw enough of a tantrum it would suddenly reappear, or she'd wake up and find this was all a bad dream! Just a horrible nightmare she was having....even a group hallucination would make sense.
“Sachiko! If...If it's like you! Quit this, like, right now you stupid ghost...thing!” That was when one of the tables flipped over with a loud bang that made Hari cover her head as everything seemed to be going to hell.
That was when the desk flipped again, oh wait...did she anger the ghost? Or...Whatever was causing this? Wasn't that a bad idea? Her eyes widened, “I...I mean, like....You seem like...okay, right?” She pleased her eyes closed, “Just, like....Let me go, yeah?”
Her reply seemed to be an eerie wind as everything stopped banging, so...she was fine? Did that apology appease whatever caused this horrible experience to happen? Opening her eyes she saw that everything seemed to be dead silent except for the wind. The desks were in their usual spots, albeit it in disarray and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Everything looked completely normal. With a sigh of relief she glanced at her leg, even it looked fine, she didn't even feel any pain.
So everything was alright? With a wide smile on her face she got up and went to walk out of the room, to find someone else and get out of here. However that was when she felt something stab her, and she looked down to see her leg had a small cut in it. A cut that seemed to grow a little, “Wh-what?” She screamed again, kicked at whatever held her leg and found herself able to move out of the room.
When she took a breath after running down the halls again, she looked to her leg. It seemed fine. The cut was gone. There was no mark, no blood. Nothing, “Like...What...even?” Shaking the event off she raised her voice again, “Hotaka!” She called out, Hotaka always seemed so strong. So maybe he would save her? “Eiji!” Eiji seemed....dependable. Well they were her friends, also they did the ritual too, so they were all in this thing together, “Anyone?!”
Waiting for a couple of minutes she sighed as she hung her head down, no one was coming to her rescue. Wasn't this supposed to be the part where the dashing hero comes in to rescue the in distress, and quite beautiful, damsel? But this was real life, as impossible as this entire event seemed, this was all real. Hari wasn't imaging anything. This. Was. One. Hundred. Percent. Reality. No one would come save her, because she would need to save herself. She was always so into fashion...she was with multiple guys, some young....some her age, most of them older than her. She rebelled against the natural order of her culture, against society and this was what her eventual fate was supposed to be. Stuck inside a haunted, stupid, dumb, abandoned, infested, creaky school!
Her miniature rage fit over with, Hari just collapsed on the ground, this was useless. She was such a pretty girl, she was all the rage...and now she was just going to rot here.
No! She'd get free! She'd get out of here! She would find her friends, and they would all leave together! Everything would end happily and she could continue on with her life! Nodding to herself and her new found conviction she got up and walked over to a pole, it was thin...but heavy enough to defend herself with, maybe. Picking it up and grasping it in her hand she nodded once more and set off down the hall. She was brave, she could do this!
That was when she heard a cry of punching people that sounded familiar, but she couldn't trust that it was nice, so she turned the corner and raised the metal bar, ready to smack whoever it was with it, “...Ho-Hotaka?!”

E I J I ▼ K A T O
For Eiji Kato, the day had seemed to start off innocently enough. Get up, grab some lunch, and go to school, where he promptly realized he had left his assignments that were due at home. He had grumbled about the loss of the assignments, but there wasn't much the redhead could do about it, beyond running home and missing like two periods while he got the homework for two classes. The effort wasn't worth the waste of time, and so Eiji just contented himself with beating himself up over the missing assignments.
The rest of the day wasn't much better. It seemed like he had forgotten everything at home, including the lunch his mom had made for him and he had probably left sitting on the counter in the kitchen. There wasn't much he could do, since again, he was stuck with the idea of going home and missing two classes. Which, to be fair, was becoming more and more of a real idea the longer he glared around at everyone and listen to his stomach protest the lack of food. Thankfully, he had plenty of time to wor on one of his assignments he'd forgotten, so he at least got that in.
It was the test he failed during the last period of the day that really nailed it in the coffin for him in regards to how bad the day was. After all, he'd studied extensively the night before, and well, apparently that did no good, as the sensei had determined that the test was going to be on something else. By the end of it, Eiji had a raging headache, and he was irritated and wanted to grab something to eat. However, he had promised to meet up after school with Hotaka and Hari and he couldn't just leave them alone. So, after gathering his things, he headed out, ready to meet up with his friends.
What happened next was mostly a blur in his mind. He'd met up with them, they'd done something, and then... Well, he couldn't recall exactly. All he knew was that he woke up, a screaming headache battering his head, and found himself inside a classroom. A pretty dilapidated one, by the look of it. Dust was thick around him, on the floors and everything. Cracks made like spider webs across the walls, and the windows were caked with grime. Shifting himself upright, he clutched at his head and squeezed his eyes shut. What happened? He stood shakily, looking around as he did so, and frowned. Broken furniture littered the classroom, one lone desk being the only piece left unscathed, and the floors creaked underneath him. He swallowed thickly. Everything was in ruin, and nothing reminded him of his classroom, or any classroom he had ever seen. Finally stumbling to his feet, he leaned heavily on the desk, his head swimming.
From this vantage point, he could better see the room, which left much to be desired in his opinion. Cracked and missing floorboards, broken panes of glass, everything seemed to emit a sense of decrepitude. He shivered, and then realized something was in his hand. He frowned, turning it over and over in his hand. It was a piece of paper, and something pierced through the fog in his mind. A paper doll, and his friends each grabbing it and ripping it apart. He didn't recall what the significance of that was, but he pocketed it just the same. Maybe it could give him a clue as to what happened. He wasn't entirely sure, but maybe.
Deciding to look out the window didn't help much in determining where he was. All he could see was gloom, gloom and trees, as far as his vision could go. He didn't like that, and the rain didn't help any. In fact, he was certain that if it wasn't for the rain, he could probably see more. Biting his lip, he backed away from the windows, head still spinning. Something just wasn't right, and it wasn't just the dilapidated building or the gloom. It was the sense of wrongness that permeated the air, and he shivered. Deciding to put that out of his mind for the moment, he turned around, deciding to investigate further the place he was in. He took two steps toward the only door he could see when he heard it.
A scream. It started first as a wail that echoed through the room and then continued to rise in pitch and volume and caused the redhead to clutch his ears. He shivered, waiting for the scream to dissipate, but it continued. The cacophony of sound soon became too much, and Eiji soon found himself screaming along with it, trying in vain to block out the sound with his own voice. Then suddenly it cut out, and Eiji found himself screaming in the deafening silence. He stopped then, his throat feeling like it was on fire and tears pricking the corners of his eyes. It left his ears ringing, and he was sure he had gone deaf. It wasn't until he heard the constant patter of rain that he realized that hadn't happened.
He took several shaking breaths, trying to calm his racing heart down. It was a challenge, especially since he was certain he was almost at the point of having a panic attack. Lord, what was going on? Where was everyone? Except for the scream, he had heard and seen nothing to suggest that anyone else was even around. He opened his eyes and scanned the room, suddenly realizing he had shut them. Nothing. Nothing was there. Whatever this was, it was a sick joke, something that he knew that Hotaka would never pull. Hari then? He doubted that as well, since she didn't seem the type either. When he pulled his hands away from his ears, he noted they were shaking, badly. Deciding that he had enough of this, he stormed toward the door, pulling it open roughly and glaring out.
Nothing. Not a whisper of sound. Not even a single bit of movement caught his eye as he stared down the hallway. He shivered. Clinging to the door, he looked one way and then another, trying to see if he could see anyone. A flicker of movement caught his eye, and he whipped his head around, his neck popping with the motion. Nothing. Leaning against the door now, he tried to shake off the sick feeling he was suddenly getting from the sudden head movement. He hadn't eaten anything, and his stomach roiled with the thought of even putting anything into it. He fought down the nausea, hoping that maybe if he concentrated enough, it would go away. Instead, he ended up upchucking everything he had in his stomach, bile dripping from his lips as he dryheaved for a bit afterwards. While the nausea ended, it did npt ease the dizziness or the feeling that something was just wrong. He leaned his head against the door frame, trying to gather his thoughts.
Okay, alone in a building. Check. A dilapidated husk of a school, check. Strange screaming that went on for what seemed like hours, check. At this rate, he doubted that there was anyone else here, especially since there was no way that the scream, the disembodied one or the one he emitted from his own lips, couldn't have been heard by any one. He was alone, and in pain, and nothing made sense. Eiji closed his eyes, fighting back the panic that was quickly rising in the back of his mind. No, he wasn't going to panic. That would make the situation worse. If he panicked now, then he would literally be in serious trouble. While this had logical sense, he still couldn't fight back the rising tide, and stood there, shaking at the doorway for quite some time.
It was then that a new, dark thought entered his mind. The idea that he was here because of something else, something more sinister. Perhaps someone kidnapped him? But that was crazy, right? He couldn't find any sort of logical reason for that to happen. But the thought was there, and it wouldn't go away. What if someone had kidnapped him, and was enjoying the sight of him freaking out? A new wave of panic entered his mind then, and he had to go, he had to get out, somehow. He bolted then, running as fast as he could down the hall, finding stairs easily enough leading down. He took them two at a time, his feet flying with desperation as his mind suddenly shifted into panic mode. There had to be a way to get away. When he hit the landing, he spotted the entrance. Good, there it was. A wave of relief rushed over him, and so far, nothing had appeared to him yet. Maybe it was a sign that he wasn't trapped?
Unfortunately that relief was short lived as he reached for the handle and tried to pull the door open. The door held fast, and no amount of pulling could dislodge the door from its moors. He felt panic overwhelm him at that point, and he screamed. Yanking and pulling at the door, he screamed for anything, anyone. "Hotaka! Hari! Anyone? Please, let me out! God, let me out!" His voice choked with tears, and he resorted to beating the door with anything he could find. Hands, fists, feet, anything that he could throw at the door was thrown. He collapsed then, chest heaving with sobs as they racked through his body. The tears that threatened were spilling down his cheeks, and he was afraid of the very real possibility that he was alone with potentially someone that wanted to do him harm.
What had happened? His brain was trying to fill in gaps that weren't coming to light. There was no logical reason, nothing behind any of this. He was trapped in a school, and he didn't know why. All he could remember was ripping a paper doll apart, and then nothing. Had something happened between then and the time he woke up? He desperately wished his brain would actually clear, that the fog surrounding his memories of the last few hours (days?) would lift and he could know what happened. Another part didn't want to know, because knowing, it might just break him completely. He took long, gasping breaths, trying to calm down, and wasn't succeeding. No, no, no, and no! He had to calm down, he had to focus. There had to be a way out. There was no way he had been shoved in here with no way to escape.
Standing, he leaned heavily on the door, trying to collect his thoughts and shove back the panic. Breathe, just breathe. He was going to do this, he was going to get out of this. He just needed to find out how. There had to be a way, right? He couldn't be trapped here, right? Maybe it was a misunderstanding, and somehow he ended up in a condemned school and it had been sealed to prevent people from getting in? Or getting out, a darker, more pessimistic voice said. After all, he had tried to get out, right? It could easily be something keeping him in and not keeping people out. Serial killers did that, right? Who's to say that that wasn't what had him trapped? Some psychopath with a predilection toward teasing and taunting prey before killing them?
With all of these thoughts roiling around in his head, it was no wonder when he found himself dozing. His brain had decided to shut off, and Eiji floated in a hazy dream, one where he found himself back at home, grabbing his homework and lunch, aceing that test, and forgetting instead about meeting up with Hotaka and Hari. He instead found himself heading back home, sitting down to eat dinner with his family, and making jokes about what happened during the day. Hell, he even called his friends to apologize for missing the meeting, and they just decided instead that they would meet later in the week. It wasn't like he was in any of their classes, he was a year lower than they were, and thus he had to work to even find time to meet the two.
It was during the conversation that he heard the skitter. It broke through his subconscious attempt to escape what was happening, and he found his eyes snapping immediately open. He peered through the gloom, the darkness making it difficult to determine what else was here. Or who else. He swallowed, then realized one good thing that the brief respite provided. The sheer panic was gone, replaced with fresh determination to find a way out. He waited a bit more, trying to figure out where the sound was coming from, and then decided to do something rash. He stood, not remembering when he had sat against the wall, and found his voice, rough from the recent abuse. "Hello? Is someone there? Please, say something! Someone open this door, please?!"
It was a futile attempt, but Eiji didn't care. All he wanted to do was get out of here, no mess, and go home. See his friends, his family, heck, even see that dumb teacher that gave him a test on stuff they hadn't gone over yet. Heck, he'd hand in his homework late if that meant that he would be able to get out of this thrice-damned school. And Eiji was firmly convinced the place was damned. Why else was he trapped in here? His face contorted into something akin to worry, and he wrung his fingers. Leaning against the door he watched and waited, keeping his back against the portal as he peered into the darkness. Nothing moved, nothing showed itself, and Eiji was almost tempted to write it off as a bad case of an overactive imagination. Yeah, that's what it is. He's imagining all of the creepiness of this place. That had to be it. Otherwise, how could anyone explain the scream, or the noise? Or how about the general feel in the air? That hadn't abated, no matter how much Eiji wished it otherwise.
Instead, as the moments ticked by, he started imagining himself back at home, enjoying a piece of his mother's cake, the one she was baking when he left for school. That was a better image than what he was facing now. He could almost taste it, the strawberries and vanilla mixing together to create a taste that was one of his favourites. Even the sauce atop the cake was delicious, but unfortunately, all that did was leave him hungry and tired. He wanted to sleep, but couldn't bring himself to do so. He needed a way out, and strained his ears to hear anything beyond his line of sight. Nothing broke the silence, and he strained further, trying to lean forward to catch whatever that sound was again.

M I Z U K I ▼ H I D A ________________________________________________ Mizuki's day had started off about as normal as any day did for her. She had gotten out of bed done her makeup and gotten dressed, before walking downstairs, only to be verbally assaulted by her a** hole of a father. She just couldn't do anything right for him. She was either dressing like a skank, or a goth, or a punk, or a hoodlum; she was acting like a brat, or she wasn't helping out enough at home, or she wasn't taking care of her family well enough. No matter what she did, she would never please him. It'd always been like that, and it would probably always be like that. Her mom of course was long gone. Who wouldn't run away from that man? The fact that she had left behind her to deal with the crazy guy meant little to nothing to the young girl anymore. She was so used to just being that girl. The one no one really paid any attention to and was always left behind. It was just her life.
Anyways, after being shouted at by her father for a good twenty minutes, Mizuki finally left the house and started her long walk to school. Her homeroom class had been about as boring as possible. A boy through balled up paper at her and she ignored him, her sensei lectured her on arriving late, and she ignored him, and after some kid through a fit about gum in his perfect hair or something like that, she turned her attention away from the class and to the window. She passed most of her day like this. Math was first, where she was yelled at for not having some assignment that apparently was due, and then History where she was forced to write some boring essay on some war that happened God knows when. She was seriously beginning to wonder why she even came to school anymore. After that everyone was sent off to lunch. She of course had the best seat in the house at lunch, and by that she meant in the hallway outside of the toilets, by herself, as always. After lunch, the rest of her classes passed in a blur. She spent ninety nine percent of them sitting in her seat, next to the window, staring out at the scenery and trying her very best to ignore every dumb a** student throwing things at her, or making fun of her, or making stupid comments at her. Why couldn't they just leave her alone?
After school, things got a little bit better, and definitely more interesting. Her friends, most of them older, had asked her to meet them after school. She had met them in an abandoned classroom right after school. Hari had been the one to call them all there. Hari told them about some weird ritual, 'sachiko' or something like that. Mizuki hadn't seen any harm in doing it. Honestly it would either work or just be another fake ritual littering the internet. She had never thought that anything like this would happen. They'd done the ritual and then only a minute or so later there was a large earthquake. Mizuki vaugely remembered shouting something about getting under desks, and then they were all falling.... through the floor. It was like a dream. The floor literally disappeared from under their feet. Mizuki hadn't even thought that was possible.
Well now... now she was lying on the ground. Her arm was pounding with pain and she was pretty sure she could feel her pulse in her arm. Blue eyes slid open to find herself staring at a dark ceiling. She sat up slowly and assessed her surroundings. She was in a classroom.... of sorts. The desks were all pushed into one corned and the floor had holes here and there in it. It was cold, much to cold for comfort, and Mizu could hear the wind howling outside and the soft pitter patter of rain. Vaugely she could hear a quiet thumping in the distance. She gulped and looked down at her arm to find a huge cut down it and blood oozing slowly from parts of it. She had apparently been out long enough for the wound to partially clot over, but judging from her dizziness and fuzzy feeling in the head, she'd still lost a lot of blood. The wound at least explained the pain and pulsing. Explanations were a good thing. Especially when she had no clue where in the world she was, or if she was even in her world now. Part of her was trying to convince herself that it was all a dream, but the logical side of her said that the pain in her arm was to intense to be a dream.
Slowly she hobbled to her feet. She didn't know where she was, she didn't know how she got here, and she didn't know where her friends were. The only logical thing to do was go and find them, and figure out where the hell they had all ended up. The one thing she was certain of was that her friends were here somewhere. They had all fallen through the same hole in the floor, so they all had to end up in generally the same place. Taking a slow breath she quickly undid her headband and wrapped it around the area of her wound still bleeding. From there, she moved towards the door, cradling her wounded arm. 'Only one way to go.' She told herself silently, before grabbing the door and wrenching it open. She jumped back quickly, but refused to let the scream in her mind, escape her lips. Apparently the.... thing... had been leaning against the door, because when she opened it, in fell what had to have once been a girl. Now it... she.... was a skull with flesh rotting off of it... her... and dried cracked blood everywhere. A pool of dried blood coated the ground around the body.
Taking another deep breath, the young girl scurried forward and tapped the body with her foot. Upon finding that it was most definitely quite dead and wasn't about to come back to life and eat her brains or something, she sighed a sigh of relief. She noted the fact that this weird creepy school was also most liekly filled with corpses, which definitely did not forbode well for her, before stepping daintly over the body and out into the hall. That was when she heard violent screaming that, if she wasn't wrong, sounded like Eiji. Eyes widened and she raced in the direction of the noise.
“Eiji! Eiji! Eiji where are you? I'm coming! Don't let it kill you!..... Whatever it.... is....” The last part of her sentence was more muttered to herself as she paused in a junction. It sounded like his scream was coming from both directions and she didn't know which way to turn. Her fingers twisted into blonde locks and her head twisted back and forth and tilted each way, trying to determine where he was. “Eiji!” She called. With her last call, his screaming suddenly cut off and she gasped. He was.... alright... right? He wasn't dead? He couldn't be dead! She wouldn't allow it! She would not allow any of her friends to join the rest of the damn corpses in this school. As if on cue with her thoughts, she turned one way out of pure guessing and immediately tripped over another corpse.
This one was a lot freshed than the last. It looked as if it had just died. Blood still dripped from wounds in its stomach and chest and there was a pool of still wet blood surrounding it. A pool that Mizuki ended up falling face first into. She coughed and scurried backwards on her hands and feet and her back ran into something squishy. She spun, stumbling to her feet to find herself face to face with guts and body parts of what must have also once been a human being. She gulped and choked down the bile rising in her throat at it all. She gulped, trying to stop herself from panicing. Were one these bodies Eiji? She squeezed her eyes shut, gathering every ounce of courage in her thin body. She had to look more closely at them. Quickly she opened her eyes and stared at the mutilated body covering the wall and ground. She crouched down to get a better look, trying not to gag at the disgusting smell coming from the thing. There! She saw a body part that could only be female. Okay so that body wasn't Eiji or Hotaka, and the flesh surrounding her was too light to be Hari's. She turned to look at the other body and noted the look of horror on the corpse's body, but also noted that face wasn't any of her friend's either.
There was still a chance that Eiji was alive! His scream may have stopped... but that didn't mean he was dead. She bounced to her feet, a renewal of energy filling her. She had to find him and then together they could find everyone else! He was top priority though. He had been the one screaming. She couldn't let herself dwell on the fact that these poor people had been killed by god knows what, and that whatever had killed them was still out there and probably close. If she let herself dwell on that.... well she would probably freak out or something. Dead bodies, that she could mostly deal with.... kinda... but murderers? No thanks. Mizuki was not about to be killed by some creepy dude wandering a weird school that she had somehow ended up in from doing some stupid ritual! Not tonight. Not ever.
On that note, Mizu didn't even know if it was night time. She had looked out the window of the classroom she'd woken up in only briefly. And that had only been to note that it was raining really hard outside but that was about all she'd been able to see. The windows were badly fogged up. With a quiet sigh, she skipped over the dead smooshed mutilated torn apart female body and headed down the hall. “Eiji? hotaka? Hari? Anyone? Can you hear me??” She screamed, cupping bloody fingers around her mouth to hopefully amplify her voice and be better heard by her friends... and whatever else was out there. The fact that her fingers, and clothes were splatter with other people's blood didn't seem to have any effect on her, strange as that seemed, even to her. She was actually not freaking out. Freak out and you die. That is what she had learned in her life. So she stayed calm on the outside and did her very best to stay rational and logical.
Now if you were a kid that was in a place you didn't know, and had just witnessed something so terrible you started screaming bloody murder.... where would you run too? Where had she run too when her dad got remarried and her witch of a step mother and step siblings came to live with them? She'd run to the door. She'd try to run away from everything that was bothering her, she'd try to escape. Eiji had to be the same right? Run to the door..... What if he'd actually left the school though? She'd never find him! And if she was wrong and then left the school to try and find him when in reality he was still traisping around the demented hallways somewhere.... well she'd be lost and alone and she wouldn't be able to hold her calm forever. Gulping she started looking for stairs or doors or anything but hallways and classrooms.
As she wandered aimlessly and helplessly, looking for something she didn't know where to find. She didn't even know if she was on the ground level or the top level or the basement. She had no idea where she was. She had no idea how many levels this school had or if there was even a possible way to get to a ground level. So far she had found no stairs or anything to go anywhere. Just as she was beginning to think her search was hopeless and that she was truly alone in this school....place...world...universe... wherever the hell she was, just as she thought she would never find her friends, she felt a tug on the back of her jacket. She froze.
“Eiji....Hotaka....Hari.... Is that one of you guys?” She asked in a quiet whisper. Fear gripped her heart as no answer came. Her friends would answer her. She knew they would. Quickly she spun around wrenching her jacket free of whatever had got her... only to find herself face to face with thin air. She gulped, spun back around, and started running as if the devil himself was on her tail. She squeezed her eyes shut, trying to fight off the panic. This was no time to panic. This was no time at all to freak out and stop thinking.
It was only when she was suddenly tumbling down stairs, screaming the entire way, that she realized she had, in fact, been running blindly in a place she didn't know. Dumb! Dumb dumb dumb Mizuki. She could have run into anything! Her mouth clamped shut, cutting off her scream as she came to a stop sprawled across the floor at the bottom of a flight of stairs. She rolled over to look back up the stairs but saw nothing. She had been running blindly from nothing. She groaned, and pushed herself to her feet. 'What's another few painful bruises to my body in a dangerous situation like this eh?' She thought sarcastically to herself.
She worried her lip as she started off down the hallway she had come to. As she rounded the corner, she heard Eiji shouting, and then blue eyes spotted him....yelling at a door. She shot into a run and darted down the hall towards him, when she reached him, she didn't slow to a stop until she was suddenly clinging to his waist. She was so happy to see somebody alive and human and her friend. She did not like being alone here, especially when she knew her friends were off by themselves too. They were her friends! Hers! She was not going to let some damn murderer or whatever kill them! Now that she had found Eiji, she wasn't letting him out of her sight ever again!
“Eiji! You're alive! I was so worried! Are you okay? Did you see....” She quickly trailed off and let go of him. “Er... I mean....anyways.... Have you seen Hari or Hotaka or anyone at all?” She rubbed her arm, wincing at the wound slicing it up. She wasn't about to finish the first question that had been on her tongue. She was pretty sure asking 'did you see the dead bodies?' was not a great opener.... especially if he hadn't seen them. No point in freaking him out if he was totally unaware of what was lurking in these hallways. “Are you hurt? I heard you screaming. I was worried something had.... er.... killed you...” She muttered sheepishly. She honestly just did not want to be alone in this place.

*~Hari Kaneko~* Hari's make shift bat weapon stopped a mere inch from hitting Hotaka in the face, that...that would have been a really bad accident, "Li-like....what?" The ganguro girl then watched as Hotaka flailed away, slipped then fell and hit his head anyways, maybe it was just destined to be? That was when she felt something grab her and she swung the bat at it, obviously hitting nothing at all, this...this was just a horrible thing. Completely and utterly horrible, she couldn't take this. Hari was a fashion icon for the school....though others tended to spread rumors about her being a slut, which....weren't exactly far from the truth. She just did compensated dating is all, it got her a steady stream of money.
That was when Hotaka yelled at her for nearly killing him with the metal pipe she carried, "Ah...So-sorry Hotaka." She really was sorry. That was when she offered a hand to help him up....an offer that didn't last long as she felt the floor creaking under her, "Wh-what?" What was going to go on now? When Hotaka questioned if she was actually Hari she raised a brow at him, "Like...Really? You hit your head harder than I like, totally thought, ya know?"
Glancing around the girl frowned, "Do...you like, still have your like, slip of paper you tore from like, that doll?" Hari asked, curious. She glanced down, "Sorry for like..doing this whole like...ritual thing." It...really was her fault, everything horrible that happened, she was the one who had researched that rumor and she was the one who got the group together to initiate the ritual. That was when she saw some floating lights surround her, "Wh-what?" On closer inspection the floating lights were just what looked like...odd looking spirits.
That was when she felt her head getting heavy and the hallway that Hotaka and her were in blacked out before re-appearing with Hari nowhere to be found. Instead there was bloody writing on the wall "In order to get out of here, assemble your pieces.....It's too bad that you are all trapped here forever. Goodbye."
....
......
....Darkness.
Pitch black darkness was all Hari could see as she woke up, and found herself in a room with a row of tables and an odd looking skeleton figure at the back. Oh...this was a medical room, wasn't it? For health class?
Was she back at school? Away from the horror she had witnessed?
That was when she got up and felt her foot go through the floor. She gasped as she pulled it back out and got a good look at her surroundings. Wooden floor....with a couple of sunken in spots, so the wood was obviously old and unstable, rows of operating tables and a large chalkboard.
Getting up and carefully side-stepping the various weak spots in the floor Hari inspected the tables, they...looked normal, except for the bits of blood splattered all over them. Which unnerved the girl. That was when she got a careful look at the skeleton she saw earlier. On closer inspection only one side was a skeleton, the other side was a dissected human. So it was just a model then, "Still like...totally creepy."
That was when the mode's eyes opened and an arm reached for her, Hari screamed as she ran away from the model, tripping on a floor board and falling on her face. Wincing in pain, she grabbed at her face and struggled to get up, before being caught by her ponytail in the models grip, "Kyaaaaaaaa! Get off me, like now!" She screamed as she thrashed, then kicked behind her and shattered the model into pieces. The hand still in her ponytail. Shaking the hand away, she glared down at the model and then kicked it, "Stupid...stupid...stupidstupidstupidstupidstupid!"
Hari then posed, "I am not going to die here! Like, you hear me Sachiko? Screw you and your stupid revenge!" She screamed out boldly, confident that the stupid ghost was just too scared to get proper revenge on people who didn't even deserve it in the first place, "Screw you!"
That was when a girl in a tattered red dress appeared in front of Hari, "....What?" The next thing Hari saw was a flash of silver and the world spinning, her head had been lopped clean off. It then rolled on the floor as Sachiko laughed and vanished with Hari's corpse.
She was dead. Hari had met her own gameover.
