Alchemy ~ EE
spaceAdalaide isn't the sort to fail any of her tests, she cares about her grades and knows how to manage her time. That being said, Alchemy was an interesting class, but not one she was overly interested in. She wasn't interested in pursuing a career in it, after all. She did manage an EE on the exam, though, since it was brewing a potion, which is one of her strong suits. The score is the same as her grade on the OWLs, because her opinion of and skills in the class have neither weakened nor improved.
Art ~ EE
spaceAdalaide spends a fair amount of her time sketching and doodling in her free time. Unfortunately, due to the pressure of doing well on her other NEWTs, she didn't do much sketching or drawing outside of her actual art class, and so her skills were a bit rusty. The piece was skillful enough, but clearly had been done by someone who could've done better. Her OWL grade for this class was an O, but she wasn't quite in the right state of mind to manage that on her NEWTs.
Care of Magical Creatures ~ A
spaceThis is another class that Adalaide was very interested in, but not overly concerned with as far as grades go. She allowed herself to focus on other, more pertinent areas for her studies, and so her exam, while acceptable, wasn't anything special. She showed that she clearly knew what she was doing, but her heart obviously wasn't in it and she missed a few things here and there, enough to get her a passing grade but not enough for an impressive one. Her OWL grade was higher because, like her Art NEWT, she just didn't focus on this one quite as much.
Charms ~ O
spaceWhile not particularly necessary for her career path, Charms has always been Ada's best subject as far as wandwork goes, and one that she finds quite useful. In order to study for this exam, Ada made an effort to use magic as much as possible (something she didn't usually do, even while at school). She's never had any trouble with Charms, having taken to it from the first lesson, and so this exam was a breeze for her. This score and her OWL exam were both O's because she's never had any issue with this class or the spells.
Defense Against the Dark Arts ~ A
spaceAdalaide's first few lessons in this class were like a nightmare for her, but over time, she improved. While it was never one of her best classes, she did do very well in it, eventually. Still, she never managed to perfect most of the spells. Lacking the experience of some of her fellow students (something she refuses to think of as a bad thing), she's never really been tested in using them outside of the classroom. So, while she did manage to pass the exam, it was only just. Her score on the OWL exam was higher because of the exam itself, she's never really had trouble facing Boggarts (it was her handling of the Boggart on her NEWT that guaranteed her a pass), but she wasn't entirely prepared for all the spells she'd need to perform for this exam.
Ghoul and Ghost Studies ~ A
spaceAnother class that Ada took because it seemed interesting, and kept taking because she was right. In the end, though, it was another class that she didn't focus too much energy on studying for. It wasn't overly difficult for her, but her lack of care kept her from getting a higher score. The grade is lower than her score on her OWLs because she chose to let it slide a bit so that she could focus her attention on the classes she was more concerned with making good scores on.
Herbology ~ O
spaceHerbology has always been Ada's best subject. Her family has their own Greenhouse, which she has grown up helping out in. She's been caring for her own section of the garden since she was seven years old (which her father takes care of while she's at school), and over the Summer she had a job at Dogweed and Deathcap for more experience. She knows pretty much everything there is to know about all sorts of plantlife (magical and mundane), and is always exceptionally careful when handling the plants. This score is the same as the one she received on her OWLs because it would take some very unusually awful circumstances to get her to manage anything but a perfect score on this particular exam.
History of Magic ~ A
spaceAdalaide enjoys history, but it's not overly important to her. She wouldn't allow herself to fail a class, but this was a class that she didn't particularly worry about. History is interesting to her, but not a concern. She managed to pass the exam, but only with an A. The score is significantly lower than her OWL score because she wasn't worried about the exam.
Mythology ~ EE
spaceAdalaide's grade in Mythology is higher than her History grade, mostly because she found the information easier to remember, and at times more interesting. This was one of her favorite classes, although not one she worried about her grades for. Her score on this exam is the same as her OWL score because she applied herself equally to both exams and found the NEWT level equally interesting and easy.
Potions ~ O
spaceSecond only to Herbology, this is one of Adalaide's best classes. Her father is a Potioneer and she has been watching and assisting him at his work for as long as she can remember. Because of this, she is abnormally skilled in the lesson. She finds it easy, almost relaxing, to brew even difficult potions, and would had little trouble with the exam. She received the same score on her NEWT as she did on her OWL because the lesson is one of her favorites and one she finds easy and has a lot of experience with. The transition from OWL to NEWT level courses was almost unnoticeable to her.
