Originally from Yuki no Kuni (The Land of Snow) Setsuko's parents had put her in a crate of a ship and sent her away. Setsuko never found out the reason why nor did she care. The ship unloaded near Amegakure and she was discovered. With no parents she was sent to an orphanage until she was twelve. Setsuko was kicked out with she bit the ear off another child. Wandering around for a while Setsuko was discovered by a sensor ninja, who had noticed her latent abilities. He took her to the academy and she was trained to be a genin. Many think training her had been a terrible idea but sometimes you need people like her to do the dirty jobs you don't want to do.
