[Back-PRP] Fearful Changes (Suzu and ? )

Suzu still didn't know what was happening. The leopard cub only knew that home wasn't home any more, that she couldn't see Papa whenever she wanted (and that there was always someone watching when she did), and that there were an awful lot of lions around. She hadn't even tried to speak since the Lions came, instead remaining a silent, huddled ball of fur and eyes whenever anyone came near her.

Eating enough was out of the question too - it wasn't that she wasn't hungry - she was, so hungry that it felt like her tummy was going to crawl up and out of her throat. But she was so frightened that trying would turn her insides into knots and all that hunger would go away as she found somewhere to hide and shake until she could breathe again.

All she wanted was to go home, to go back to the den with everyone who was supposed to be there, but she wasn't brave enough to try and find it, even if she could get away from the eyes watching her (which she could not, as there was always someone around to keep an eye on her.

Noh moved towards the leopard cub quietly, hiding her worry as she leaned, nosing the cub gently from the side.
She'd hidden her own two cubs with her mother to see to the new Sador, and especially the cubs. Although bigger than her pair, she worried, and a soft rumble was brewing in her throat as she spoke.

"Little one?" Noh asked softly. "Would you like something to eat?"

Suzu turned frightened blue eyes up at the lioness, flinching away from the nose pressing into her side. This stranger was very big, and very much not Mama, so she scrambled backward, her fur puffed up as she made a soundless hiss, immediately followed by curling up with her paws over her eyes.

Maybe - maybe if she couldn't see the lioness, she would go away? And - and maybe if she wished hard enough, when she opened them again she would be back home...

...There was something wrong, and instinct kicked the new mother in the tail, and gently, she stretched, lifting the sador cub gently before moving to her den, sniffing before noting her mther seemed away, before setting Suzu down amidst her own babies. Perhaps - perhaps the presence of other cubs might help? She was so thin.... Noh worried, and rumbled such, nosing.

Suzu went limp in the grasp of the lioness, a breathy not-quite squeak escaping her as she was carried into a strange den and tucked in the midst of a small litter of lion cubs. They were warm, but she didn't know them, and she stared around her in trembling, wide-eyed panic. What should she do? What should she do?

Another nearly-soundless squeak left her throat as Suzu pancaked along the floor, trying to be flat and small even as she stared up at the lioness. Was - was she going to be eaten, now? The lions hadn't been mean so far, but - but they had taken her from home and had taken Papa away and - and -

She started to cry, unable to hold in her emotions and unable to do anything else.

"Shhhh..." Noh crooned, grooming both leopard cub and lion cubs alike as she hummed, nuzzling them all.

"It's alright, baby girl. It's safe." The lioness groomed, internally growling at the cub's mother. Did she not see how afraid her cub was? And did she DO anything?!...Actually, given Tencho, she suspected not, the little hybrid seemed to be sort of.

Special, at times.

"Shhh.... It's okay, baby...... It's okay...."

Suzu continued crying until she finally cried herself out, snuggling into the warm lumps on either side of her without really processing that the lion cubs weren't her sisters - they were warm, and it was dark and snuggly in this den, just like the home she was longing for, and if she kept her eyes closed, the warm tongue grooming her could be Mama or Papa.

It was just enough to lull her into a sort of quiet, to help her calm enough to finally settle down and sleep. It wasn't a long sleep - rather, just a short period of desperately-needed dozing, and before long her bright blue eyes popped upon again, peering up at the lioness. She was still afraid, but there was curiosity in her gaze now, too.

Good, she was resting.

Noh rumbled softly, grooming the litter plus one softly, and when the cub woke, Noh had returned with another cub, Suzu's sister sitting with a confused look as Noh smiled to both.

"Are you hungry?" She offered, softly. "I could fetch you something to eat?"

When she saw her sister, Suzu wiggled past the lion cubs - one of whom yawned and rolled onto his back to paw sleepily at the air - and pressed into her sister's side. If Menefer was here, maybe it would be okay - or at least a little less scary.

She nosed her littermate and turned again to stare at the lioness, tail twitching behind her. She was still too scared to talk, or she would ask why they had taken everyone away from Home. Why she couldn't see Papa. ... lots of 'why' questions.

But for now, it was enough just to nuzzle into her sister, watch the adult - and wonder.

Nothing, and Noh made a sound of worry as she moved, returning quite quickly to place food in front of the four cubs. Menefer blinked, watching before nosing Suzu, and flopped on her side. She was bored, not hungry, but the younger lioness chirped, crawling to her mother's offering and sniffed. Was it okay? Maybe?

The little lion cub followed his sister, sniffing at the meat and licking it, before nuzzling against his sister with a yawn, the green-colored tuft on his head falling into his eyes.

Suzu, meanwhile, heard her tummy growl and felt how hungry she was. She inched toward the food, and even dared to bite at it - before a sudden sneeze from the lone little male in the den caused her to jump and backpedal, tucking next to her sister in a shaking, anxious ball once again.

Noh seemed to smile watching the baby bite, before nosing it towards her, beaming.

"It's alright, he just sneezed." Noh soothed, and placed a lick on top of her head. Menefer settled, watching as she blinked, and looked up, head tilting. For her part, Afon mewled, and groomed her brother. This was a VERY nice warm, yes! Warm was good!

Aluwing nuzzled his sister, licking at her and his nose to try and get the itch away from it, and snuggled into Afon with a yawn. Warms and cuddles were the best, as far as he was concerned! The best!

Suzu looked between Menefer and Noh, shaking again. She blinked up at Noh, mouth and throat working to try and make an inquisitive and anxious mewl, but unable to produce a sound as it closed up, instead making her small shoulders shake as more tears rose in her eyes.
