So much sorrow had followed her for as long as she could remember and she had long since wished she could drown out her past with memories anew but that wasn't something that was easy to her.
It had been a blessing when she had entered this pride, without much left to her mentally and emotionally. She had been given the title of Lady and was considered high class which she found almost Ironic, since she was the daughter of a God.
Go Figure.
Not that she'd openly broadcast that information.
Her thoughts were stolen away however when a figure appeared. Was this another vision? She often felt them coming on so why wasn't she aware of what was going on this time?
She had seen him before, glimpses, mirages of the purple figure with kind eyes and yet he were was. Walking towards her.
She closed her eyes, took a breath and shook her head. She was imaging this. This was just another vision.
Right?
Opening her eyes she saw him still and he was closer, much closer than she would have anticipated and she felt a lump in her throat.
"Good evening M'Lady." He spoke softly but surely, his eyes and words kind and warm as he approached her. He had noticed her not too long ago and had told himself he would get to know her, HAD to get to know her. Something about her just drew him to her and he had to know what it was.
Was it fate? Destiny? Something much more?
He noted her stance and wondered if perhaps he had interrupted her. "I didn't mean to intrude, if you wish for me to go, I shall."
She blinked, his voice was real. He was real, THIS was real.
She shook her head slightly and gave a bow and a smile. "No, It's quite alright, I was just caught unaware was all. Good evening to you as well, M'Lord." She offered back.
He gave a bow of his head. "You entitle me where I should not be given such kindness, I am but a Guard. I am but a shadow to your calling."
He felt so light and full of something much greater than he could have ever imagined as he stood there talking to her.
He did his best to not show that though.
"What would you have me call you then?" She asked him as he responded in a very kind manner, expressing that she was higher in rank than himself. She didn't want to call him by Guard, she would like to know his name. "I am Kahini." She figured she could at least give him that in return.
"My Lady Kahini, I am Pophyrios." He gave a simple bow of his head and delighted at the way her name sounded against his lips. However he dare not express that much outside of his inner self.
Pophyrios, she made sure to keep that name tucked away in her mind. She wouldn't forget his face or a name like that, at least not anytime soon. Especially when it had been a face she had seen time and time again in her visions.
This was where she was meant to be, this was what she had been meant to do. Though it was entirely possible he wouldn't feel the same and then that would be that.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Pophyrios." She gave a small bow in return and flicked her tail behind her slightly as she looked around and took in the sights of their new pride. It would seem that the two of them were just as new to the area and that made her feel a little less of an anomaly.
She was rather large in size and he noted that, he had heard tales of large lions that had Gods blood running through their veins and he wondered if she might be one of them. But he wasn't about to ask a question like that, it seemed rude of him to do such a thing. He figured if she wanted to tell him anything she would, so he wasn't going to press her for things.
At least not yet.
"How long have you been part of the pride?" He asked her, it couldn't have been anymore than how long he had been here. While he hadn't met everyone in the pride yet, he had gotten to meet a great deal of newcomers and she hadn't been there the day he joined so he assumed it was before or after he joined.
"Only a full moon passing, not very long." She said her gaze dancing towards the sky as she allowed there to be peace between them. It was nice because she didn't feel a need to fill the silence, his presence was enough and that was satisfying. He didn't make a move to fill it either so she assumed he was feeling the same way, at least a little bit.
So she hadn't been there very long at all, this was a pleasant thought since they were both new here and could perhaps get to know the pride together and each other. It might seem silly but it was just something he was glad he was going to be able to do.
"So about as long as myself. Are you enjoying it here?" He hoped she was, it would be a shame for her to join the pride just to leave it shortly after. He hadn't really heard of anyone doing that but it wouldn't be unheard of he supposed.
She gave a nod of her head, she was very much enjoying it here. "I am, it's a nice change of pace to what I've been used to." Perhaps she'd tell this male one day. "Would you care to escort me back? I feel as though it's getting late and wouldn't mind your company a bit longer."
He was honored by her words and gave a boy. "My Lady." He said as the two of them walked back towards the prides center.
