- ↳ Raiment: Speak with Animals/Two-Way Telepathy
- ↳ As simple as it sounds, communicate with animals is just that. Able to understand the language of beasts, Gannon can communicate with a wide variety of animals at will. The ability, however has its limits. When faced with an entirely new creature, Gannon cannot always discern their 'language' immediately. Like any form of communication that is new, it takes time to learn dialect. As such, while he can talk to any animal, it is easier to learn to communicate with more common creatures than a more exotic animal that he hasn’t interacted with on a regular basis. Like any ability, practice makes perfect.
The secondary function that derives from this ability is two-way telepathy, which acts as the method by which Gannon can speak with animals, and by natural extension, humans as well. This can be very useful when it comes to information gathering or spying. However, in times of peace such as these, the user utilizes this ability as a scout and scholar of sorts.
Two-way telepathy, while useful, can only be used between two people at a time, never a group and is only useful within a certain range or distance. If the user has communicated with the person via two-way telepathy before and had established a ‘bond’ through that connection, then he can connect with them across great distances, as he already has a sort of 'link' to them – Brageet is the perfect example of this connection and it’s uses. However, if Gannon tries to communicate through a vast distance with someone whom he hasn't 'connected' with before, it can be very difficult to establish a proper 'link'.
Extended use of two-way telepathy can cause severe fatigue, headaches, hunger and nausea. When the ‘bond’ or ‘link’ is strong, Gannon can communicate with them for a much longer duration, whereas if the link/bond is weak it takes much more energy and effort to communicate along the link. As such, the weaker the link, the quicker the adverse effects will affect him.
→ Stat Growth:
- ↳ Control:
The amount of targeted control of the Raiment is dependent on the User's Control Stat. The amount of targeted control of the Raiment is dependent on the User's Control Stat, including how many interactions are needed to master an animals’s language and communicate with them and how many people a telepathic link can be established with at a given time.
1 – 2 Communication with animals require frequent interactions to master ‘language’. Must communicate with an animal species 10 separate times before fully learning their language.
Two-way telepathy – able to connect with a person’s mind with their permission. ‘Receiver’ must ‘open’ their mind to receive a link. Frequent communication over the link is required to create a ‘bond’. User is only able to create bonds with 1 person at this level. Has the ability to ‘sever’ a link or bond as needed to create a fresh link with a new person.
3 – 4 Communication with animal species require 8 separate interactions before fully learning their language to interact easily with them.
Two-way telepathy – able to connect with a person’s mind with their permission, (same requirements as 1 – 2). User is able to form bonds with 2 people at this level.
5 – 6 Communication with animal species require 6 separate interactions before fully learning their language to interact easily with them.
Two-way telepathy – able to connect with a person’s mind with their permission, (same requirements as 1 – 2). User can form bonds with 3 - 5 people at this level.
7 - 8 Communication with animal species require 4 separate interactions before fully learning their language to interact easily with them.
Two-way telepathy – able to connect with a person’s mind with their permission, (same requirements as 1 – 2). User can form bonds with 6 - 10 people at this level. [User’s Current Level]
9 - Communication with animal species require 2 separate interactions before fully learning their language to interact easily with them.
Two-way telepathy – able to connect with a person’s mind with their permission, (same requirements as 1 – 2). User can form bonds with 12 - 15 people at this level.
↳ Range: The range of the Two-Way Telepathy Raiment is dependent on the User's Range Stat.
1 – 20’ radius around the user
2 – 40’ radius around the user
3 – 80’ radius around the user
4 – 150’ radius around the user
5 – 300’ radius around the user
6 – 1/8 mile radius around the user
7 – ¼ mile radius around the user
8 – ½ mile radius around the user
9 – 1-mile radius around the user [User’s Current Level]
↳ Technique: The amount of time that the Two-Way Telepathy Raiment is in affect is dependent on the User's Technique Stat.
1 – 5 minutes of constant/intermittent communication followed by a 3-hour resting period (If user pushes himself and establishes communication before resting period has passed, adverse effects will occur)
2 – 10 minutes of constant/intermittent communication followed by a 2.5 hour resting period (If user pushes himself and establishes communication before resting period has passed, adverse effects will occur)
3 – 20 minutes of constant/intermittent communication followed by a 2-hour resting period (If user pushes himself and establishes communication before resting period has passed, adverse effects will occur)
4 – 40 minutes of constant/intermittent communication followed by a 1.5 hour resting period (If user pushes himself and establishes communication before resting period has passed, adverse effects will occur)
5 – 1 hour of constant/intermittent communication followed by a 1 hour resting period (If user pushes himself and establishes communication before resting period has passed, adverse effects will occur)
6 – 1.5 hours of constant/intermittent communication followed by a 45-minute resting period [User's Current Level]
7 – 2 hours of constant/intermittent communication followed by a 45-minute resting period (If user pushes himself and establishes communication before resting period has passed, adverse effects will occur)
8 – 2.5 hours of constant/intermittent communication followed by a 30-minute resting period (If user pushes himself and establishes communication before resting period has passed, adverse effects will occur)
9 – 3 hours of constant/intermittent communication followed by a 30-minute resting period (If user pushes himself and establishes communication before resting period has passed, adverse effects will occur)

- ↳ Son of a Diviner and a Celebrar, from a young age, Gannon showed potential talent for both knits. Ultimately, Gannon’s dominant or true knit revealed itself at the age of four when his parents realized he could hold a conversation with the family’s dog. Under the guidance and tutelage of his parents, Gannon strengthened his knit and began to test his limits. As a result, Gannon found it far easier to befriend animals than he did other little boys and girls. Most other children found him to be odd or strange and many didn’t like that he could speak to animals while they could not. Something that Gannon realized from an early age was that while people would often lie about a great many things, animals did not have a need to spout falsehoods. This only encouraged Gannon to seek out the companionship of animals over humans even more. He knew that when speaking with an animal, they would tell him the truth, while humans lied much too often for his taste.
When he was ten years of age, Gannon came upon an injured adolescent snowy owl named Brageet. After spending several hours speaking with her, convincing her that he did not want to a harm her, only help her, Brageet allowed him to care for her wounds. It took several weeks of care and attention, but eventually Brageet’s wing was mended and strong enough to carry her weight in flight. During the time it had taken Gannon to nurse her back to health, the two had begun to bond and form a deep friendship. While Brageet did leave Gannon for a time, she eventually returned and decided to stay with him as his friend and companion; they have been inseparable ever since.
It was only under the urging of his mother and father that Gannon attended the Academy of Grand Magic. While he found that he liked to learn about new aspects of his knit, he soon realized that he wasn’t as accepted at the Academy as many of the other students. It didn’t help that he walked around with Brageet on his shoulder and could be seen frequently holding conversations with her in public. The discovery of his talents in Celebrar only made his peers pull away even more and as a result, Gannon mostly stopped conversing with people altogether. Instead he opted to speak with his animal friends and use his new-found talents in two-way telepathy to communicate. Eventually, Gannon withdrew from his peers completely and spent the majority of his time within the library studying or outdoors conversing with animals or exercising Brageet.
Upon graduation from the Academy at the age of twenty-two, Gannon became a Court Mage for the Kingdom of Valor. He felt that as a court mage he could help better the Kingdom as a whole and be allowed to travel Valor and see a bit of the world as a result. However, once peace was established between Valor and Trendel and the Academy of Eoana was established, Gannon happily volunteered to become part of the faculty - he's never regretted his decision.
