It had been some time since she'd been to the border, but there was a particular plant Kaida needed, and it didn't grow further in the pridal lands. Oh, she had certainly tried to encourage it to grow further in, but the plant just was not having any of it. And it let her get away from all the chatter going on in the heart of the pride at the moment. She loved her home, but...the whispers about the lights in the sky bounced about and while the majority agreed that it was a good thing, that it was a sign of favor...some creatures had been whispering that perhaps it wasn't so good.
Kaida herself was in the former camp. It was all just too pretty to be anything but good! She was preoccupied enough in her thoughts that she didn't notice another form out at the border.
