Paws curled against the earth, a flick of a fiery tail, the red lioness wondered if she would ever get used to the land outside of the desert. She had lived on the harsh and unforgiving sands all her life, this land...a lion could grow soft on land like this.
Red eyes narrowed, Anarore kicked a small rock from her path. The red lioness was not impressed with these lands or this trek from the firekin lands so far. Then again, she could not complain of the diversion it had provided her in the form of one dark lion she had met.
The smirk on her maw quickly faded, a flick of one ear, as an unfamiliar scent met her nose. The lioness turned, her gaze searching for the source, If they sought to catch her unaware, they would be disappointed.

It was Kristanf's hope to catch the lioness off guard. That seemed to be the best tactic when it came to his thrall capturing (he only had two out of how many raids?)
Kristanf watched her for a moment, noticing her scanning the area. Well, it wasn't wise to stay hiding, nor was it Kris' personality to do so. Instead of remaining hidden, the male stepped forward, bringing his form out in the open.
Comparatively speaking, the two were probably the same size in height. The Firekin lioness was bigger than what he normally had seen before. An obvious sign he needed her for his little collection. His lip raised slightly as he scented the air. Other's scents were on her too, she may not have been alone. Kris would have to move fast.
"You there," he called out, his voice raspy as he spoke. "Who are you, and where do you come from?"
He was a demanding lion, wasn't he?

Her head snapped to settle a glare on the pale lion, her ears back, a lash of her tail, the fur on her neck ruffling. She snorted, scoffing at his demands, she was not impressed. He had given her no reason to share such information with him, and she would not answer to demands.
"I should be asking you that."
She spoke in a voice low and confident, a hint of a growl behind her words. Her form was sleek, shoulders broad, a fierce fire in her eyes. Her eyes narrowed, as if she were sizing him up, watching his movements, judging his intentions.
"I see no reason to answer your question until you first tell me your name."
Anarore is taking none of your s**t.

Anarore might have actually laughed at him, mocking the pale lion who dared to be so bold. Did he really think she would be so easy? She was neither easy nor unprepared. A single call would have brother others of her pride to her aid if needed. For now, she would teach this lion a lesson on her own.
"Good luck with that, little boy."
She spoke with a sneer, her tone clearly one of mockery and disdain. Oh, she was not having this! Bring it on!
Her own paws flexed, barring dark talons, her maw parted in a snarl. Her muscles coiled, bracing herself for the impact,. A paw raised to strike at the lion's face without mercy.

One last shake of her head as she felt his paw slip from her grip. A satisfied smirk, her tongue darted to lick the blood from one fang. She took a step forward, refusing to let her guard down, talons digging into the earth as if to demonstrate what she would do to his hide shold she catch him.
"What's wrong, little boy, bite off more than you can chew?"
Another step forward, the lioness was not backing down. Oh, now that he'd seen some fight, he wanted to turn tail and run did he? Let's see how far you run then.
Talons unleashed again, the lioness charged, quickly closing the distance between them. Run home little boy!
