Depending on their skill, the user can direct these attacks toward specific targets or even force them into a curved path to avoid hitting allies. Enemies have a chance to resist these effects based on their endurance stacked against the user’s Raiment power. At higher levels the user can significantly reduce the chance of resistance by “overcharging” their vocal chords, but this will double the recovery time required before they can use their Raiment again.

- ↳People Person: Rory has always loved other people. She enjoys making friends and can do so quite easily. She is constantly willing to get to know someone, even if they may seem abrasive at first.
↳Charismatic: Rory doesn't like to think of it as manipulating people... but she knows how to get what she wants.
↳Quick Learner: Rory is eager to learn and desperate to control her Raiment. As such she is extremely studious. She tends to pick up on concepts quickly anyway, but anything she does not immediate grasp she is sure to put in an insane mount of effort until she does.

- ↳Can't Say No: Rory is absolutely terrified of letting people down. This makes her a bit of a pushover. So long as you ask nicely and it's not directly against her morality, Rory will do her best to complete any request given to her.
↳Mute: While not technically mute, Rory refuses to speak for fear of losing control of her Raiment. She works around this by gesturing and writing things down, but it can certainly make communication difficult.
↳Frail: Rory's endurance is far below average. She has very little stamina and cannot run or exercise for long stretches of time. She does hope to improve this through time and effort.

- Although she does not speak, Rory is incredibly expressive. In fact she is terrible at hiding her emotions. Her face and body language clearly display what she is feeling at nearly all times. Luckily though, she is usually feeling cheerful. The young optimist tends to see the best in every person and situation. Setting aside moments of pure tragedy, the only source from which she cannot seem to find happiness is herself. This insecurity is her largest emotional flaw. She is terrified of her Raiment and of herself by extension. This fear drives her to place far too much stock in the opinions that others have of her. As she cannot seem to find confidence in herself, Rory draws her self-worth from other people.

- ↳ The Harperion family can trace their roots back all the way to some of the earliest recorded residents of Trendel. In fact they are one of the wealthiest and most influential families in the great nation. They are quite proud of their lineage, so much so that the politics of Trendel and Harperion family life are entirely inseparable. Young Aurora grew up with tales of her ancestors being unfairly slaughtered by evil Valor soldiers. Although the peace treaty was signed while she was quite young, the tension that hung around the family mansion made it seem no different from war times. Actually, her parents were quite convinced that war would be upon them once again within the next few years. The government of Valor, according to them, were despicable tricksters who were merely using this "peace" to prepare for a large scale attack.
Of course they were thrilled when Rory began to show signs of her Raiment. They praised and encouraged her in hopes that she would one day be a great asset to the war effort. Rory, however, did not want to fight. She was terrified and confused by what happened to people every time she opened her mouth. At first it just seemed that her talking gave people headaches (which would have been unsurprising consider how she loved to ramble). Yet as she grew older and spoke to more people, she began to notice more prominent effects. Her friends would cease to hear her, or pass out when she tried to call out to them. So Rory fell silent.
For the past three years, Rory has not spoken a single word. Her parents have pried, goaded, and even bribed her in attempts to get her to use her Raiment, but to no avail. They believe that the Academy will force her to use her powers and make them more powerful. They enrolled her in hopes to turn her into a valuable weapon. Rory herself has other plans, though. She secretly hopes to gain control over her powers so that she can speak again without hurting anyone.
