Galilahi hadn't been exactly thrilled with the celebrations going on, it was just another year and another set of celebrations and something her and her brothers wouldn't get to enjoy with their parents. Which is what stung the most about overlooking the festivities and seeing families joining the Ela'wadiyi altogether....looking so happy and content. To say she was bitter was an understatement.

So she sat silently at the vestiges of the celebration, laying on her stomach in the grass and watching the new faces go by and unaware if the Bird Clan would have any newcomers...she supposed that was one bonus to this festival. At least all the clans could meet and socialize with each other...that was always something. It gave her a break from her brothers which was always a blessing in and of itself too.

Mwanga'mkali was excited, eyes wide as she took in all that encompassed the celebrations that brought the clans of the Ela'wadiyi together each year, reveling in the presence of so many faces - new friends just waiting to be made, as far as she was concerned. She was new to the pride, having just joined as a cub, along with her father and sister; but she'd taken to her new home quickly, glad to see the difference in her father - he'd gone from being slightly sad, and looking perpetually exhausted, to content and...almost peaceful.

And as for her...well, she'd always been chatty, and loved nothing more than being around others, so having access to an entire clan full of other lions had been a pleasant change of pace for her, as well - although her clan did not seem to have many others close to her own age, and so she had been looking forward to this gathering for weeks.

Spotting an adolescent, who appeared close in age to herself, Mwanga padded toward the yellow-and-brown lioness, admiring the way that her orange tattoos emphasized them gracefully. As she drew close enough to not have to yell, she called out a greeting, practically vibrating with excitement. "Hi there! Are you going to be participating in the Sky Festival? Your tattoos are lovely!" The words came tumbling out, a friendly grin never leaving her face.

As if realizing she had yet to properly introduce herself (although she hadn't given the other young lioness enough time to respond to anything, if she were so inclined), she pressed on. "I'm Mwanga'mkali, from the Earth Clan."
