Eschrich (AstoriaFallen) vs Chapa Chochokpi (MangoMeow)

Chapa was stoked! He couldn't believe that he'd won his last two rounds; he had even made it farther than his father when he'd competed last year. Now it was just a matter of seeing if he'd continue on from here.

With a determined look on his face, the bright colored lion made his way over to where his opponent was waiting. Lowering his head in a nod, Chapa grinned, "You too!" And then he crouched down in preparation. He didn't want to make the first move this time around, though last time had been a close one because of it....

Oh well. If he didn't make it past this, at least he could say he gave it his best shot -- and he would be giving it his best.

The other lion coming at him had made Chapa's ears pull back slightly in preparation, but the stumble had thrown him off. What he'd thought was one way had turned out to be a feint (or at least that's what it looked like to him), and he had moved in the opposite direction.

Right into Eschrich's paw.

With a grimace, he stumbled back and then tried to swipe a paw at his side, only to miss entirely.

Great, he was off to an awesome start, it seemed. Shaking his head, Chapa mentally berated himself. He needed to get back on track!
