Physical Description: A little over six feet tall and built like a brick wall, H'vor is a solid specimen who seems to have been constructed to intimidate people. Everything below his head is thick: neck like a jug, arms like sacks of firestone, chest like a barrel, and legs like tree trunks. This is basically all muscle, although at 54 it is no longer sharply defined. Instead of being sculpted, H'vor's musculature is best described as slablike. He shaves his head and most of his body hair every morning, so no one can really tell what color his hair is without resorting to an eyebrow check. His nose has been broken multiple times and is now about as straight as a luge course. His eyes are brown and his skin is deeply tanned. He has a lot of tattoos, and bulbous knuckles that feel like rocks when he socks you. There're a number of scars with interesting stories attached scattered across his body, but mostly on the backs of his hands and forearms. He's missing half an ear and three teeth (one in the front, two in the back).

Impressed Vaath from the stands when the merchant he was guarding attending a hatching. It was a surprise to everyone.
Leaned into a threat of expulsion from the Weyr after one too many fights and was re-employed by his former employer, NOW WITH BONUS DRAGON.
Turns out feeding dragons is expensive and Vaath disapproves of violence, severely limiting their effectiveness, so the merchant fired them.
Brief, fairly unsuccessful period of banditry due to Vaath's aforementioned pacifism. Vaath's health in particular suffered, mostly due to undernourishment, which forced H'vor to return to the Weyr, where there was enough food and people who could help restore Vaath's health.
Couldn't bring himself to return to HR after being expelled, and so arrived at Western, hat in hand (as it were) and with the promise that he would do whatever they asked, if only they would get Vaath healthy again.
He kept his word about the nonviolence, and so he got to keep his place.
