Morgut made his way across the battle pit to the edge were the ground dens were situated. As a blood guard, he was assigned his own den that he shared with a few others. There were enough of dens that he could probably have his own if he wanted, but the lion enjoyed the company. If an alarm was sound, he would hear it faster if he were near his comrades. Likewise, generals and the higher ranks also slept in the ground dens, or sometimes simply out in the pit itself. It was not uncommon to see the Warchief and High Warlord positioned in the center of the battle pit rather in a den.

He’d been told by a passing grunt that they had seen General Gomuk around the ground dens only moments before. Morgut was now looking for the mauve colored lion to receive his orders, but to also take the opportunity to report the incident he had with Dreg the day before. (He’d taken the morning to ensure that the peon’s had a quiet start to their duties sans Dreg.)

Honestly, he was unsure of General Gomuk. He was newly assigned to the general’s regiment and therefore hadn’t the opportunity to form his own opinion about Gomuk’s leadership. As to Dreg’s behavior, some would take the malicious nature of a young lion as being expected with an understanding that it would dampen with age. Others, like Morgut, thought that it should be snuffed out as quickly as it could be. It was entirely possible that the general would either tell Morgut it was inappropriate to have intervened or to have bothered telling him at all. Up in the air as it was, the blood guard was very interested to see how the general would handle it.

It didn’t take long to spot the dusty blond mane of the lion who seemed to be taller than any of the blood guards that milled around him. Seeing Gomuk’s attention was not immediately taken, Morgut approached with a bow of his head and a “lok’regar(ready for orders) as greeting.
