Kyzier hummed a melody to themselves, enjoying a rare free day. They had a lot of ambition, but someone told them to slow down and relax. It was hard, but they enjoyed nature enough that it was pleasant, if not difficult, to take a stroll. Well, it was a bit too fast to really be a stroll, but they were walking without a specific destination in mind, so it was definitely relaxing. The fact that they were humming a song they'd been learning didn't matter. They could multitask--relax while practicing!
They grinned to themselves, pleased with their efforts. The world was open--countless opportunities. Life was too short to be idle. Still, they enjoyed being outside. Maybe they should go get a snack and eat under a tree, while composing music? Either way, they paused midstep at the sound of dragon wings beating above. Kyzier raised their eyes to the sky, excitement shifting into surprise. A queen dragon? That wasn't an everyday sight for them, as much as they loved dragons. She was...big. Really big! As Killakeeth made her descent, Kyzier wasted no time, jogging over to reach the dragon's projected landing spot.
Sometimes you just had to take initiative to fulfill your dreams, you know? All it took was a bit of networking, after all. Even if they weren't able to convince the pair to let them be a candidate, they'd still be able to meet a rider, and have that rider as a good reference. Yeah, imagine knowing a RIDER!

Kyzier was momentarily awed by the massive queen. Killakeeth was so big. They'd never seen such a big dragon before, not this close. They shook their head, as if to clear the stars from their eyes. Then, they grinned at the pair, flipping their braid and then standing solidly, both hands on hips.
"Hello, Miss Dragon, Miss Dragonrider, Ma'am." Their eyes kept flicking towards Killakeeth, awed by the stunning beauty and glory that was a BIG dragon. Oh, how they longed to go for a flight on that dragon! Maybe someday, they thought to themselves, as they offered a sweeping bow to the pair. Unnecessary and a bit silly, maybe, but they were all about those first impressions. They led to (hopefully) a true Impression.
"I'm Kyzier, and it's a pleasure to meet you." They'd have to make an extra effort to remember these names. It was VITAL that they remember these names. After all, networking made the world go 'round...or at least got people into high places.
