The two had seen much better days - this was their second visit down here. While Phylideth was confident nothing was wrong, T'mor was still insistent. T'mor had always been that way, but Phylideth knew there was more he wanted to come back to now..... Hmph.

He didn't appreciate that the Healer seemed to agree with his rider. Hmph!

T'mor didn't like being down more than Phylideth did, but it was important that his dragon not just fall out of the sky. Plus their Wingsecond was perfectly capable of taking care of things.

The second they were given clearance to head back up, Phyldieth and T'mor were gone. They'd only rejoin their Wing for a bit, but it was better to end in the air than on the ground for their shift.

Things either required more ginger care than Alzarth had expected, or he was in worse shape than he'd thought. The brown nosed at the healer to see which it was.

Baihath was trying so hard not to fall asleep, though his condition had been stabilized and it would have been perfectly fine for him to do so. The Game was not over yet, and he didn't want Khamaith to know he'd already fallen asleep once even though Thread still rained hard and heavy down upon them. His head lay in His Alya's lap, eyes half-open as he drowsily tried to pay attention to everything going on all around him.

That was when he felt her.

For the first time in his life, the plucky young dragon's eyes went white with terror, surging to his feet so hard that he staggered. Alya cried out in alarm, immediately throwing her arms around his neck, and it was testament to his weakness that he sank back down due to her frail weight alone. "Bai, no!"

She needs me! She needs help! Baihath wailed, keening so loudly that Alya had to wince. "You're hurt, baby, you can't--you can't go to her, right now!" Saying such a thing broke her heart, especially when Baihath flinched and swung his head back and forth as though to deny her words. "I know it hurts, and I'm so sorry! Someone will make sure she's okay, just like she made sure you were okay. You have to trust me."

She clutched his head so tightly as his eyes met her own, and with a whimper, Baihath collapsed back to the ground. Kha, his Kha.... Never before had he felt so small and useless.
