LAVINIA's OWLs
Core Classes
Astronomy : O
- If Lavinia didn't do well in astronomy she had no business being the leader for the club dedicated to it.
Honestly it was the only club aside from her house Quidditch team that she had that much dedication towards.
With all the extra time working on her Astronomy lessons, she managed an Outstanding grade.
Lucky really because she wouldn't have accepted less.
Charms : E
- Lavinia always struggled with charms though she couldn't say it was her worst.
Either way she studied hard with regards to her wand work and her notes.
Luckily she managed to Exceed Expectations by the end in order to continue in the subject.
Defence Against the Dark Arts : E
- Lavinia's best subject with regards to any kind of spells was defence. Though the wand work was still a struggle, she worked on it tirelessly.
Lavinia wanted to do better but despite her vigorous efforts she only managed to Exceed Expectations.
She came up short of an Outstanding grade but she'd do better next time.
Herbology : O
- Plants were a thing Lavinia could get behind. She enjoyed being outside and the greenhouses were no exception.
Having no wand work required, she easily managed the study material. Receiving an Outstanding grade she was more then pleased.
History of Magic : E
- History was one of those things that Lavinia enjoyed. If it had reading material she was all for the extra time it took to read it.
It sometimes paid to enjoy reading. In the end with all her classes, she managed to Exceed Expectations.
Potions : A
- With most other classes that she struggled in she was able to make up for it with general knowledge.
However, Potions alluded her to the point of no return.
Lavinia tried her best with potions though she new a mild degree of what she was being taught, brewing the potions never ended well.
Fortunately she was able to get an Acceptable grade but it wouldn't be enough to continue the subject.
Transfiguration : A
- Lavinia struggled with transfigurations. Though she liked the subject it was complicated and her wand work wasn't the greatest.
Most of her spells were hit or miss. The more complicated the spells got the harder the subject got for her.
In the end between the written and practical exams she managed an Acceptable grade.
Electives
Alchemy : A
- Alchemy was a challenging class, one Lavinia knew had similarities to a lot of other classes she struggled with.
Though she was intrigued by the subject and hit the books well, she only managed an Acceptable grade. At least it wasn't a fail.
Care of Magical Creatures : E
- Lavinia had no problems with magical creatures. It didn't require any spell work and the creatures they dealt with were pretty neat.
By the end of the year she managed to Exceed Expectations, which was a welcome surprise.
Cursebreaking : E
- Lavinia found she had a curiosity for curses. Not so much how to cast them but how to break them. It paid off as exams got closer.
With her hardwork, she managed to Exceed Expectations on her exam. A pleasant surprise for her.
Mythology : E
- Mythology was basically a history class for Lavinia. It involved books and reading which played to her wheel house.
As such she was able to do quite well with her exam. Ending the year Exceeding Expectations she was more then pleased with herself.
Study of Ancient Runes : O
- Lavinia had a thing for ancient history and the like. She also had a thing for languages which runes so happened to be.
It might be a dead language but it was an interesting one regardless of that. As such she put a lot into the subject.
It paid off netting her an Outstanding grade.
Wandless Magic : A
- Spellcasting was never Lavinia's strong suit. It was always hit or miss however, she managed to improve her skills through dueling.
Though she struggled without a wand, she pushed herself to do well. Luckily she passed with an Acceptable grade.
Wandlore : E
- Lavinia could deal with wands. She was no wand whisperer but she could at least understand how they worked.
It was an interesting subject that was more about nature in her opinion. Managing to Exceed Expectations, she was delighted about the turnout.
