Word Games: Nickelodeon Guts

I almost forgot to mention which nickname that an avi would use if he or she was on Nickelodeon Guts.

My Family's Got GUTS features a Number of Family Teams competing in the Aggro Bowl.

Sadly, My Family's Got GUTS only lasted for 2 seasons.

My Family's Got GUTS is a lot Harder than the Original Incarnations and uses a New Extreme Arena. There's Normally 2 Teams, Green & Red in the Qualifier Games which are the Prelims and Semis, but in the Finals which is the Aggro Bowl, there's 3 Teams, Red, Blue and Green competing. The Aggro Bowl in the Finals is considered the Tournament of Champions for My Family's Got GUTS.

The Aggro Crag in My Family's Got GUTS is the Hardest when compared to the Original 3 GUTS Incarnations but with some minor changes. The Differences is that the Team with the most points after the 2 Events, gets a Head Start on the Crag while the Second Place team must wait for the signal from the Judges.
As for the Rules of the Aggro Crag on My Family's Got GUTS:
Each Team has his or her designated path that the player must take (Blue Path = Blue Team, Green Path = Green Team & Red Path = Red Team) & may NOT under any circumstances, disturb another player's progress or cross into another player's path. The First player must light up all 3 activators Signal Light Activators shown on their side of the path before opening the Ice Portal Gate so that Second Player to begin his or her vertical climb. The First Team to light up the Signal Light Activator at the mountain's peak wins the event in First Place. The First Place Team gets a head start while the Second Place Team must wait for the signal from the Judges before starting.

The Glowing Piece of the Radical Rock has 3 pieces and to complete the trophy, the team must compete from the Prelims to the Finals & win the Aggro Bowl.

During the Prelims & Semi Qualifiers, there's 2 Events before taking on the Aggro Crag. In the Aggro Bowl Finals, there's 4 Events & the 2 Teams with the most points after 4 Events advances to the Aggro Crag while the Third Team is eliminated from the Finals.

In the Original GUTS Incarnations, 3 Perfect Score Winners from the television show that appeared during the Regular Game, returned in the GUTS All-Stars Tournament of Champions:
Mike "Superman" [Season 1: Episode 8]
Jana "The Warrior" (Season 1: Episode 5)
Kelli "The Maniac" (Season 1: Episode 45)

Jana "The Warrior" (Red) won the Nickelodeon GUTS All Stars Tournament of Champions along with the GUTS All Stars Trophy & the $2,500 Prize. During the Basic Training Event in the Tournament of Champions All Stars, there's 7 Segments instead of 5 Segments that's shown in the Regular Game.

One thing to note is that there's 4 different designs for the Glowing Crag Trophy throughout Nickelodeon GUTS' 3 Classic Incarnations:
1. During Nickelodeon GUTS.
2. Same as the 1 but used when a Player achieves a Perfect Score in Nickelodeon GUTS
3. During Global GUTS
4. Same as 3 but used when a Player achieves a Perfect Score in Global GUTS

The only known Perfect Score Winner on Global GUTS was Rami "The Snake" (Purple) in 1995 which was during Guts' Second to Last Season.

Here's more examples of the Events' rules seen the television show:

Rebound = The 3 Players jump off the Arial bridge to grab the basketball in the center post have 5-7 attempts to grab the Rebound Basketball. The player with the most basketballs after 5-7 attempts wins.

Tornado Run = All 3 players compete at the same time in this event as they race to the finish line around the track. Like Basic Training, the players must complete each obstacle segment before advancing to the next one. Any violations during in this event will result in Penalties.

Hang Ten = Each Player needs to collect as many buoys in the Wave Pool as possible. The players need to keep the buoys on their arms when doing so as the player with the most buoys collected wins the event. A total of 10 buoys are used in this event.

Fumble = All 3 players need to recover as many Fumbles as possible. Its okay to carry more than one football. However, ONLY the Footballs in the player's basket will be counted as the player with the most Footballs wins the event.

Mad Max = Each player will race around the track in their Bikes as each player must complete each obstacle before advancing to the next segment. Any violations in this event will result in a Time Penalty as the player who completes the event in the fastest time wins the event.

Over the Top (GUTS Version) = Similar to the Olympic High Jump. Each player has 3 attempts to jump over the high jump bar set at 6.9 Feet, 7.5 Feet & 8.1 Feet. Only the best highest Jump height will be counted and the player who has the highest jump wins the event. The Highest Jump to be cleared in the Original GUTS is 8.1 Feet.

Make Your Mark = After placing their hands into the green paint, each player will jump off the Arial bridge & have 3 attempts to make their mark on the wall. Jumps that do not include 2 hand prints on the wall will not count. Only the highest best hand print jump will be counted as the player with the highest hand print jump wins the event.

The Longest Yard = Similar to the Olympic Long Jump Event. Each player has 2-3 attempts to land into the sandpit & the player must land in the sand with BOTH feet for the jump to be counted. Only the best sandpit jump will be counted as the player with the best sandpit jump wins the event.

Triple Jump = Similar to the Olympic Triple Jump Event. Each player has 2-3 attempts to land into the sandpit, by jumping over the platform, crossing the barrels then jumping over the high bar & the player must land in the sand with BOTH feet after crossing the platform, barrels & high bar for the jump to be counted. Knocking over the bar before landing into the sand pit with both feet will not count. Only the best sandpit jump will be counted as the player with the best sandpit jump wins the event.

During the Mega Crag Version of the Extreme Arena, there was two new additions:
The First is the Event Lineup where the Referee explains which 4 Events & Crag Event will be used for GUTS.
The Second is the Halftime Show where hear about what's happening with the players and the highlights from the first half before proceeding to the second half of GUTS.

The Halftime Show Segment for Nickelodeon GUTS did appear in the GUTS All-Stars Tournament of Champions where we hear about the current standings, see the recap from the first half & hear from the players.

One thing to note is that on the 3 Crags, there are dividers each of the Players' Mountain Paths as Crossing into another Player's Path or Disturbing their Progress during the Final Event is against the rules of the Crag Events and results in an Automatic 3rd Place Finish.

Hello. In Nickelodeon GUTS when I was talking about it, I made a miscount in the Crag Event's Heights:
Aggro Crag = 22 Feet
Mega Crag = 28 Feet
Super Aggro Crag = 30 Feet

Both the Aggro & Mega Crags in the Extreme Arena of the GUTS Set stand 22 to 28 Feet Tall.

One thing to note is that during an episode of Guts, in the Final event, someone jumped off Boulder Canyon and crossed into another Player's Path without paying attention resulting in an Automatic 3rd Place Finish & that was not good.
I don't remember what 3 players were in that episode.

Another thing worth mentioning is that Global Guts had a Finale Episode. After the World Championship ended, there was one more episode being the Special Olympics Episode where ET from the Universal Studios Theme Park makes a Guest Appearance at the end to deliver the Gold, Silver & Bronze Medals along with the Crag Trophy.
