Tahani was born in Portsmouth to Omar Al-Hadad and Awatif Al-Ghanim. They were rather well-off but incredibly busy; there was little that Tahani could've wanted because their parents would offer them everything, well, everything but freedom and their approval. They had a strict plan for Tahani and their future and they expected them to do well; they could have fun and do whatever they wanted as long as they did well at school and didn't get into trouble. Which of course Tahani did: they was rather boisterous and often got scolded for talking too much or distracting the class. This was frequently met with disapproval from their parents.
SCHOOL YEARS:
Attending Hogwarts was a fun time for Tahani. They enjoyed most of the classes and really loved the clubs they took part in, making friends easily and even dating when they got older. It was during their fourth year that their littlest sister, Monira, was born and Tahani was incredibly disappointed to be missing their sister's growth while they were away at Hogwarts and compensated by doting on her when they were at homed the two remained close as they grew older.
Hogwarts was also when Tahani grew into them-self and decided to seriously consider options and a future that wasn't in their parents plans. They came out as non-binary in their fifth year, which could've been met with better reception from their parents.
ADULTHOOD:
Once they graduated, instead of being a potioneer or some other respected career path, Tahani moved out and decided to be an entertainer; much to the disappointment of their parents. Given that they usually danced or performed as a magician in front of muggle crowds, the pay wasn't always the best, but Tahani enjoyed themselves and that was what they considered more important.

Mona's childhood was fairly uneventful. Being the second child of Omar Al-Hadad and Awatif Al-Ghanim, her parents learned their lesson from when they raised Tahani, her sibling. They were still strict and still had their own ideas on what would be respectable future jobs that would let her live comfortable, she still had more freedom and she also had the attention of her older sibling when they weren't away at Hogwarts. Since Tahani couldn't be there all the time, they doted on their little sister, who thought she was the best thing since sliced bread. And when they ended up working as a magician, Mona thought there weren't many cooler jobs. And even though they didn't live in the same house anymore and Mona was about to head to Hogwarts, they still talked frequently.
