Returning to formation, Biralath and Kat'eel dove after a little clump of Thread that they'd missed due to them being gone. But it was blown back towards them in the blink of an eye and they found themselves Between once more, ridding themselves of the annoyance.

"Ah, shards and shells," Kat'eel muttered as he glanced down into his firestone bag. The shift down here was almost up and he definitely didn't have enough firestone to see Biralath through to the end.

"Bira, call for firestone," he said, loosening the bag a bit to get ready for a replacement.

Biralath turned his attention down to the small green who was bringing up his firestone, trying to hold steady in the wind so she could come close enough for her rider to toss the bag. Just as Kat'eel caught the delivery of fresh stone Biralath felt a few tendrils of Thread touch his wings, causing him to jump Between quickly.

No fear, I'm all right, he called down to the apologetic weyrling, hopeful that she wouldn't worry too much.

The change to the next altitude - and the last, thankfully - went well. Biralath kept his wings steady while Kat'eel was finally able to tie the bag in its proper position.

Biralath spotted one of their wingmates struggling. While he was usually a bit awkward in social situations, fighting Thread helped him push back those insecurities to call out a word of encouragement to them.

A bit of Thread rested over Biralath's neck, but the pair jumped Between quickly to rid themselves of it. They emerged stinging but found it was ignorable for now. They were so close to finishing the fight!
