Himitsu listened to Mina's talk about control and fire intently. It made sense, and was part of the reason he'd always preferred to use Wind style until fairly recently. Fire had always come naturally to him when he wantned it, but keeping it under control once it was lit had always been a struggle. Of course there were other challenges that came with the fire demon's power as well. "I totally agree. Buuuuut the difficult part of my power is it comes with a seperate sentience. Not only does it literally have a mind of its own, I'm stuck listening to it 24/7. And it isn't nice!" Himi was serious, but spoke in a lighthearted manner. The experience had clearly been bothering him, but he was making the effort to remain at least moderately positive about it.
As they wandered into the woods, Mina initiated conversation again pretty quickly. "Umm, strangely enough its almost been more relaxing than genin life. I don't need to spend all day running errands and rescuing csts from trees anymore, so I've got time to work on projects and tackle missions with some actual challenge. Kai's missions were the only ones that ever pushed us, really..." His sentene drifted off as his train of thought derailed. It took him a second to get back on track.
"Uhhh, sort of on the topic of Kai... He always talks highly of you. So much so I was sort of surprised to see how people seem to... react, to you. I don't put any faith in the sidelooks of strangers, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't curious..." Himitsu waded into some tall brush and sifted around for a moment quietly before asking his question. "What's the story? You don't exactly strike me as a baby eater or anything. Badass maybe, but I'm not sure that quite earns you the kind of stares I've noticed." The Uchiha spoke nonchalantly, used to being on Mina's end of weird looks since he was little. His experience with it was certainly far milder, just mean kids passing judgement on the quiet kid, but it persisted long enough that he'd developed a knack for spotting the faces people make when they think you're not looking. Or just don't care.

His Spirit Fire radiates an unsettling coolness, and burns inflicted by them feel as if they came from extreme cold. Intense flare ups and rapid spreading of flames take on a frenzied whisper sound instead of the typical roaring of flames. ▱▰▱ Phantoms of the Bakeneko | Himitsu's Phantom Slayer Bukijutsu techniques take on a theme based around Matatabi. Tengu/Oni phantasms take on the shape of Matatabi, and their roars are replaced with the wild growling howl of a large cat. Colors are changed to align with the demon's blue and black colors.
