An Angel’s Love
I feel unwanted and alone,
Broken hearted and disowned,
Unneeded and hurt,
A forgotten toy,
Once loved by the eager hands of a child,
Left in the rain with no where to go,
As disappointment and crushed hope pricks at my eyes,
For unreturned love and loneliness tear and my heart strings,
The room darkens; the light just blinds me now,
The slow sad notes of piano float threw the room,
Leaving deafening echoes in the emptiness of my heart,
Resonating on my tattered heartstrings,
Shall a day ever come that my love be returned,
With any tenderness at all,
Shall be the day when echoes disappear,
And light no longer blinds, but is soft and gentle on my eyes,
The day when loneliness is but a whisper in the shadows,
And my eyes clear of salt,
A day where my heart no longer breaks,
But beats with the ever lasting love of my angel,
Of whom I don’t deserve,
