I don't have much use for a "journal" or a "blog" or any of that... but I do find I am in need of placing my thoughts... whenever they should arise.

I will say this much. Expect some bias and things that almost seem racist/ethnocentrical (I am not, but some ideas expressed might tend that way). No real worry for sexism.

Also. I am very good at spontaneously developing very bad ideas.

To start my psychotic Ramblings!

I am very fond of the Cold War. I was born at the end of it all (basically, (198 cool ) and I find that some of the ideas from there would serve a very good purpose in the world of today. Mutually assured distruction was very good at keeping us out of direct conflict with the Soviet Union; why not make the world well aware of our impressive (and growing) nuclear arsenal? It is not a bio-weapon, and so long as they are not made into ICBMs (intercontinental ballistic missiles) then they do not defy any International treaties, or the Geneva Convention.

What ever happened to Massive retalliation? We are atacked, so we prevent further attacks via complete obliteration. It would work. We have the technology to wipe an area clean of life, while keeping the material wealth intact. Not very humane, but that also makes one wonderthe thought patterns of the original attackers. Did they think of being "humane?" In all probability, they targeted un-armed civilians. In which case the guilty should be placed before a military tribunal, judged, and sentenced.

However, if the guilty party resists, or the county becomes problematic, then something more must be done. Either full-scale invasion, or destruction would remedy the situation. If we rebuild the country as we see fit (such an example could be Japan), then they will likely succeed more after than they had before. If they are destroyed, then it serves as a lesson to any other would-be problem starters.

Wow eek that's an interesting opinion. That idea would actually work if we ever fought a country that completly hated us, with every single citizen joining the military to come and kill us. But for our current situation(in Iraq) the 'enemy' is part of the minority. Most people don't care about anything except living their lives in peace. If we did use crazy firepower and whipe them all out, we would be the villians, not them.

I think the best way to keep enemies away is with good diplomacy and non-aggression. Look at Canada. Who hates them?

Entry two:
Meaninglessness and the philosophy of nonimportance/irrelevance.

Nihilism:
noun
the rejection of all religious and moral principles, often in the belief that life is meaningless.

As a philosophy: Extreme skepticism maintaining that nothing in the world has a real existence.

Short version: Nothing is real/true, and if it were it still wouldn't matter.

Now, moving on. "Is everything we see or seem, nothing but a dream within a dream?" How does an individual seperate what they think is truth from what they think are lies? Why can't people acknowledge that what they find as truth for themselves is not true for everyone?

In this guild, for example. There are those who believe in the supernatural, and those who believe that it is all fake. Why has the word "opinion" been lost from peoples minds? Why does it matter at all? I can think it is fake or real, it is my choice. You can think it is real or fake, that's yours. Where do you get the right to tell me I'm wrong or that I'm being stupid?

So I don't believe what you do. So I don't think how you want me to. My response: shut the hell up, I don't really care.

I am a nihilist (not really, but it is the closest ideology to what I really think). I believe that we hold no existence in reality, and that reality does not exist. Truth and lies are relative. Believe what you will, I do not really have that much say in the matter. I do have the right to believe what I will, whether or not I necessarily feel it is "right" or "true." At the same time I believe everything holds its own place.

"I think therefore I am," as Descartes said. However, why is it people can't let others exist? I don't mean murder, I mean the theft of thought. We live in an age where thinking isn't a skill or gift, it is a burden. Why? Why can't we just live and let die? All things of flesh die eventually, why rob people of the existence they should be part of, if we exist?

Understand that you are a figment of your own imagination, and likewise you exist only within others. Then you may have insight into the way in which I think and perceive things. Everything is fluid, and thus flows. My life is bound to everyone else, and likewise everyone else is bound to me. That is living. I could not exist on my own, in all probability. Honesty is being used now. I could not survive in total isolation. Neither could all most anyone who reads this. Thinking otherwise is only self dellusion, which is not a healthy practice. You need people, and people need you. You hate the world? So what, the world hates you. Deal with it, and move on.

My opinion is that the life we live awake is as valid as our dreams. The things we think of are as real as the things we do and make. Learn to lucid dream, and you will likely be much happier. Your life will become open to more possibilities, and the things you would never do while awake you will be able to do. Take life by the horns. Deal with things to survive and be happy awake, and fulfill yourself in your dreams in the ways that you can not when awake.

The name elludes me, but there was the famous piano player (I think he played piano) and he went blind at a young age (maybe just color blind...). He dreamed in color. Even though he could not perceive it in the waking world, when he slept things became vivid.

Where do people learn that their dreams have little to no worth, and all that matters is what can be felt awake? Our dreams have as much meaning as our flesh and bones do. What I can dream of has as much worth as your fancy sports car. In the end, years later, you'll have to get a new car. It will cost a lot, and will hurt your pocket book. However, I will always be able to dream, and at no cost.

I'm rambling... as I usually do. I can't decide if I want to add more or not, so I'll stop here. Being completely reasonable and following with my own beliefs, this really has no point anyway. The only importance it could serve would be to impact other people, and alter their opinions. From there it needs to be asked if people's opinions are worth changing.

Anyway, I'm done for now.
