i would like to propose a debate between people who beleive in a higher plane of existance(heaven/hell) and people who dont
their are some things id like to say about this
1 do not make fun of/ flame/ put down or any other type of put downs that go against your opponents
2. you can use any subject you wish unless it goes against rule 1
3. do not think just becuase you beleive in somthing you are attomaticly
right
4. if you post something from a holy book(i.e bible) post the testiment it is in the book name(genisis for example) and its number(i.e 19:19, sorry forgot what their called.) these will be cross referenced so please be accurate
and thats all i can think of right now for rules also you will not be givin a warning for rule#1 you will be asked to leave
now what i am asking is for 1 on each side to debate
any one can sign up for the debate but to choose the best one please send a pm to me with the title debate and a short paragraph of why you should stand for what you beleive in
also i would like to ask 2 people to help judge this debate
if you feel you should judge it please send a pm marked as debate:judge and provide a small paragraph of why you think you should judge it also keep in mind that the judges will be as unbiased as possible

We have several theologically-related discussions, how does this one focus on something that the others don't follow?
In any case, the "Why do you believe what you believe" thread seems to be the most similar, in which myself and souloe are currently engaged in quite a wonderful conversation.

I think I'm just going to watch and from time to time I'll make a completely inappropriate post involving the nature and preparation of potatoes that has no bearing on the topic at hand.

hehe, interesting stuff. Indeed it would be cool to see a debate on this topic and see what people have to say. dboyzero is actually quite awesome to intellect with I have to admit biggrin he's brought up points that I didn't even think of before in our conversation on the other thread. But ya, if someone likes this kind of thing, dboyzero is someone quite good to debate with. mrgreen
@dboyzero: ya, I'll read your posts soon, irl's been busy though so it might take longer than normal to make a reply.
