Dwarf Fortress

Am I the only one who plays this? It's a free sim/roguelike made entirely by 2 people. You can either play as an adventurer doing quests and exploring the world. Or lead a team of dwarves in an attempt to build a fortress in the mountains while mining for gems and metal.

It's text based graphics and the learning curve is a bit steep, but it's fun once you get into it. Plus I find it cool that it randomly generates an entire planet for you to play on.

So yeah, go check it out. Or yell at me for bringing up a stupid text based game I guess. sweatdrop

I think I saw my brother playing this. Is that the one where battles go something like this:

The cheetah bites your left arm.
You punch the cheeta in the gut with your right fist.
The cheetah vomits.
You throw your pants at the goblin child and break its neck.

Yup, that's it. smile

And yeah, projectiles can be a bit crazy. I've heard of people causing insane injuries in game by throwing butterflies, water, mud etc. I think I broke someone's spine by throwing a dragonfly at them once. good times. razz
