I just got past the halfway mark in Eclipse by Stephanie Myer.

Hmm I have no favourite, but obviously the Harry Pooman series comes into the top along with Bartimaeus trilogy and perhaps the old kingdom series

With a mother as a librarian it's a little hard to pick a single one, as many others have stated, but there is one book/series that I always go back to reread at least once a year... The Forbidden Game by L.J. Smith.
