It's true. Quote: September 8 will now be celebrated as world rabies day in honor of those who have died or suffered from rabies. My friend got like 10 pins in the mail for it and so her mom wore them to the football game we went to last night mrgreen . I know it's a serious matter, but I still think it's kind of funny that it's a holiday.

This reminds me - I saw a username yesterday that was Babies with Rabies xD
How many people have died of rabies? I was under the impression that it wasn't that common outside of rodents and vermin 0.o

I think it kills like 300 Americans a year. There wa this one girl in college who just got cured of it without the antibiotic shot the other day.

Holy crap! i never thought it could be that bad but at the end of day not many countries are doing anything to overcome it due to the fact it costs money and is not such a wide spread problem. But that does suck i am funny about touching animals and kaitlyn wont be touching any that looks like it could have symptoms i know i am strange.

There was a rabid raccoon on our porch once, and dad shot it right in the head, and it just sat there for a minute so he shot it again in the butt, and then it just kinda waddled off the porch 0.o

Iconised Ghost eek intense...was that the rabbies? I'm guessing so, yeah. It's a disease of the central nervous system, so it probably didn't realize it was dead or something 0.o

The entire concept of rabies freaks me out, relatively speaking. Even though I live in a more urban area (kinda), I'm working alongside animal control right now. So if there's anything having to do with rabies around here, I'll probably hear about it. o.o
At least it isn't too common a thing anymore. It's really nasty, and it's really sad to hear about when people get it.
