Tiki is falling asleep on her mountain-side as usual. She hears something crack in the bush. 'Kikae' she calls her pet squirrel sleepily, 'quit that noise'. Another twig snaps. Tiki sits up, ready to reproach Kikae. She gazes around in the dark. Its a full moon tonight, so she has no trouble locating Kikae, whos curled up near the fire, with the embers reflecting of his orange-brown coat. As forboading as something or someone in her woods, (despite them being someone else's property, this is how she thought of it. Hers) reasoning ruled out that any vampire searching for her would make such a racket. Or that any vampire would bother searching fore her. Another twig, a larger one this time snapped. The silence in which the echo reverberated was tense and uneasy. Even the sleeping Kikae seemed to hold frozen. Wearily hoping it wasn't a hungry bear, Tiki plopped herself back on the ground. Another crack followed, but, sleeping, she didn't hear the echos meaning that it was actually large trees being snappded in the far distance....

Tiki was more annoyed than anything to wake up in the middle of the night, with echos of large snaps burning through the air. Instictively, her eyes crossed the campsite for Kikae. The fire had died out completely, and the large moon was covered by a cloud, so it took her a minute to find his red-brown, fluffy-tailed form. He was sitting underneath a rock, quivering in fear. This made Tiki uneasy. Of course, the squirrel was capable of being frightend without any real danger. As much faith as she put into him, he was, after all, a rodent. Sure there was something rippping off branches of her trees in her woods nearby. It could just be a... well, you know, some non-dangerous things, like.... How could Tikis little mind have overlooked this. Her youth really was her greatest weakness. She grabbed the squirming animal, and clambered up a tree, a sturdy one as far away from the noise as possible. It wasn't until she was halfway up that she realized this thing would knock down barren, half-dead plants such as this one in no time. Maybe, her instinct was her weakness. Feverishly clutching the squirming Kikae, she plopped down. She heard a melodious, horrible roar. The tree she had been in a second ago crashed. She ducked underneath the rock Kikae had been under earlier, just in time to watch a large, snarling grey creature leap out from behind it, sniffing the air. But even as Tiki watched, and the light was much better now that the blood-reds un was rising to the east, the nose shortened. The hair on it went from grey to cold beige, then grew inward into nonexistance. The whole form was shrinking. Tiki rubbed her eyes to make sure she wasn't seeing things, and when she removed her hands from her face, There lay a crumpled human shape in ice-blue and grey robes where the werewolf had been moments before.

Blade Icestorm (as thats who he was) was anything but pleasant company. The second he regained conciousness, Tiki had ruled out possibility #1. He wasn't her parents, as it was obvious he wasn't human. That wasn't the only reason that she disliked him more as the day went onward. He wasn't dangerous, at least for another month, but he didn't exactly like her, either. He absolutely resented people think they're helping him, especially a little girl. She resented him for his super strength. One solid, brass-knuckled punch to an oak tree felled a weeks worth of firewood, and another to a fig, a weeks worth of food. At least, for one person. Blade Icestorm hadn't eaten anyhing all day, but had heavily hinted that he'd like to cook and eat Kikae, Tiki's squirrel. As darkness fell, Blade Icestorm wandered away from the campsite, to good ridence! Tiki collected the last of the figs and grudginly ate them as dinner, throwing two to Kikae insticualy.
