I for one didn't - as I've yet to even read the first Harry Potter book all the way through - but I must say, damn this is going to be fun. heart

But here's whats odd. I found this on google.

Just because hes gay, doesn't mean he cant find true love. Why would she use this as an answer?

its an interesting twist to a finished series. Possibly just done to keep people talking about, buying, and reading the series. Like a few of the people who posted on the forums in the links, im wondering why this was barely detectable in the stories

I think it's all so she can sell more books and get more attention for her series. I don't think it was apparent in the books at all, so for her to say that now seems like it would just be for more press.
