Welcome to my topic devoted to Warhammer lovers.

If you are not a Warhammer fan, or if you have never heard of it, let me explain (if you do play Warhammer, skip most of this post)
Warhammer was a game invented back in "the day" (1980s) but was little known, starting with only a few races: elves, dwarves, goblins, and the empire. But now, UK rules the shops with 2 additional versions of Warhammer: 40K, and LOTR (lord of the rings) and several new Warhammer races.

W A R H A M M E R R A C E S N O W:
1. The empire- average humans with horses and spears and stuff.
2. skaven- rat men with poisonous maces and stuff.
3. Lizard men- whadaya think?
4. orks and goblins- big green and mean, hog ridin' bloodthirsty monsters.
5. caledonia- lord of the horses with big armor and stuff.
6. trolls- although dumb, very strong and can whoop @#$.
I might be missing one, but in not a Warhammer fan.

Warhammer 40k is like war in 40,000 years, and you can see where in going with this.

W A R H A M M E R 4 0 K R A C E S:
1. Space marines- the main race, with big guns, tanks, and lots of sub-divisions like space wolves, ultramarines, etc.
2. Chaos- traitorous space marines dedicated to wretched beings from ancient worlds. They are covered in bloody skulls and big armor.
3. eldar- very sleek armor, hover tanks, cool quotes, and ancient rituals.
4. necrons- demonic ancient robot spirits with glowing axe/guns, with really big monolith tanks and night lords and stuff.
5. tau- mostly desert kind of guys, they have big robot suits and fast transportation.
5. Witch hunters- under the rule of the Emperor (leader of all good guys), they are here to exterminate all heresy (acts against the emperor) from the galaxy.
6. Demonhunters- another subdivision of the Emeperor, they are here to eradicate anything with an evil presence, are born to exterminate all chaos from the galaxy and carry out the Emperors every order.
7. Dark eldar- wicked laughing half naked murderers of ex-eldar that live to bring slow painful deaths to all who stand in their way.
8. Imperial guard- basic humans, but with big armor, kick@#$ guns and tanks, and swarm in numbers of up to about 400 on a single battlefield.

Lord of the rings is just that: the game, but transferred into little models like the rest of the games.

Warhammer summary:
In the world of Warhammer, there are shops with their own little community, like Starbucks. Here, Warhammer models are sold, either in squads or blister (single) packs. They can be in either metal or plastic. In these shops, also called Games Workshop, is the heart of Warhammer. You can fight each other, have tournaments and stuff, or just come to paint.

That’s right, I said paint. Before you can go anywhere near fighting, you have to assemble, paint, and get a Codex. A Codex is an index to a specific race you are collecting. In the codex you have statistics of characters, special abilities, rules that only apply to that race, and so forth.
Warhammer is played on a large, handmade fighting field, preferably a 5 by 3 plywood board. On this field, you must make the scenery with special tools and material provided by the shop. Once the field is made, then you must figure out your army’s point value, so you and your opponent(s) can have a fair fight.

An average Warhammer battle consists of 2 players playing with the same total of points. You chose where you want a unit to move (but if they are in a squad, they move as a group) and take a test depending if you are moving into dangerous terrain or a mine field or something of that range. They you move to the hardcore part of you move. You attack. First, you shoot with a regular gun, a heavy weapon, or something else. Then you assault. This is the suspenseful part, this is where you normally decide the fate of you troops and the outcome of the battle.

And right now it is 10:00 pm and I’m bored of typing, so I’ll continue posting tomorrow.

yeah, my army is kinda small, because Grey Knights tend tohave alot of points,so even though i have a 300pt army, it only consists of about 30 to 35 men.

No prob. smile

So, how do they do in the field?

As I said, my boyz have not won a single battle.... but it`s more than likely because I don`t remember to apply some especial rules (and not having enough tankbuztin`powa)

I have yet to run them. im still and probably will still be heavily converting them for some time. my friend who has run them for a long time really enjoys how they play and while he has lost more than he has won with them so many of the rules and situations that happen are just to funny to not have a great time. ramshackle trukks are VERY comical

Heh. this past week I`ve been working on an Excel sheet, to handle the sums for an army. Then I sent a copy to my usual opponent; this time, I upped the shooty powa` of my boyz. Each mob has a flamer and a rokkit launcha. Plus a couple of killa kanz, one of them has a launcha too (Bwahahahahaha!)

It was really rewarding to know he then went to the store to buy some marines on bikes.

(of course, now I`ll have to make a new list, but it was really worthy!)

I`m gonna need to paint some more trukks to complete a Speed Freeks army.

I love to use the dispersal dice when rolling for damage in any RPG that uses 6-siders

It never sticks, but it`s always fun to claim a 25 hit points damage with a single die
