OK lets start with symbols. Anyone's that anyone picked up besides the Dead Swamps. Incase you didnt know the dead swamps are a symbol of Tolkien's time served in World War I and No Man's Land.

I always enjoyed books on Harry Potter than the movie but in Lord of the Rings,I prefer movies because they have great effects that weren't that good back at that time.

i love the movies more, because of the graphics, they are like OMG awesome. They made most of the castle REALLY small and used tiny cameras to move around it to get the "big" picture of the "big" castle.

Most of lord of the ring's has been based on tolkiens life, he intergrated so much into the novel from his own life that it is literally more than his legacy. i adore the books and the movies, the movies sadly kept too much out which was in the book, that should have been kept in but then again if everything had been put in the movie would have been about 14 hours long lol.
