If you read the announcement it had the update in two categories: Holiday outfits and Gaia Garage Sale. So the bloody items have nothing to do with the Seasonal ones.

They are cpoing old items, like the jolly hat... so they can't just have it at 100gold. Plus DC gives at least 50 gold, not including items per account each day.
