i need help with my im from poem

ok here it goes

im from a place where looting and shooting are one word,
where pick pocking on the corner is normal,
where im from i see the rich geting richer,
and the poor geting poorer.

im from a place where people think of ways yo make it better
in the maibox there's an eviction letter,
someones saying see you later.

im from streets that are lined with bullets,
where you have two families to take care of,
where im from i have respect.

im from the place where people don't kill people,
where you have to tread carefully or think about what you say,
where im from i was loved.

im from a place where the death of a brother was comen,
where you can party all the time and never have to go home,
where im from i had pride.

im from the place where the streets run your life not the other way,
where every where you walked was someones land,
where im from i had an army

im from the place where drugs where comen,
where the hookers took care of kids better than parents,
where im from i was scared

Very interesting. I think this would be a very interesting song, but I agree that there might be some editing needed. Not too much, but the line that was about you having honor, I didn't quite understand how it connected to the rest of the lyrics. I might have missed something, but just giving you something to think about.
Overall, I liked it a lot. Great job.
