What will the future be like?

On to the topic, I would like to know what you think the future holds for us as humans?

My future is much like Ray Kurzweil´s future.
That we will sooner or later we´ll merge with robots/technology to create a race of human robot hybrids.

Everyone might not like it but thats what I think will happen. 3nodding

I think things will just become easier. Robots hopefully won't become sentient, but just, better programmed. For instance, a roomba won't have to be told when to clean something, up, and will have a much easier time finding the mess. Voice activation will become an everyday thing, like opening doors, flushing toilets, and possibly ordering food. And when you say "door, open." it won't hear "Play the sex pistols."

Some jobs that require humans might be taken over by machines, like fast food service.

Humans are always looking for more ways to be lazy rolleyes

yeah i mean it has to get worse before it gets better.... and just a little warning I'm weeeeeeiiiird and just think i don't think about what i type i type what i'm thinking with little to no editing so if it doesn't make sense just nod your head and forget it


i think 1000 years from now humans will be made of 75% plastic/metal because we'll have all the garbage to work with so instead of saline and botox we'll become barbies and robo babes like for amputees the equipment for some of those are getting crazy people won't want to "deal" failing hearts so the make robotic one


Or some mono race where if 80% of humans fly off to happy place due to natural forces. (trying not to be negitive...) when we repopulate the earth it's all brown eyes black hair but i'm just rambling random thoughts

I think robots will have assumed control, and we won't be here, but the robot race will be perfectly content with the way the world is and not have to worry about war, famine, and all that stuff.

can i put in something negative now, since that was so positive? xd i think there will be a better quality of life for people and we will know a lot more about how a healthy mind means a healthy body etc, but we will have a lot less wild life and open, empty spaces

anyway, i'm actually fairly optimistic about the future as of right now, just because there's so many wonderfully awesome things being invented. also, people's attitudes towards the planet and the environment and our impact on it are changing for the first time in a LONG time.

nanobots are going to be in use within 25-50 years. did y'all know that? you get sick, they'll inject you with wonderful little disease fighting machines. 3nodding i'm hella excited!

of course, the next ice age is on its way, and that'll certainly put a damper on things. and then of course there's the next time ((within 200 million years)) when the continents for another super continent, and that'll suck...

and there's always the possibility of an asteroid crashing into us and wrecking havoc with our climate...

but other than all those things, i think stuff is looking up on the whole. 3nodding there has never been a time of freer idea exchange, or a time when equality has been so embraced. there's never been a brighter period of advances in medicine and knowledge of the world around with within us.

i think its easy for people to get mired and bogged down in all these "OMG WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE A HORRIBLE, COMMUNIST DEATH!" ideas about the future, but you have to look @ history and where we've COME from and then @ where we are today and THEN you can get a better, more evenly rounded out idea of where we're going.
