The first four paragraphs are talking about Gaia Online, as a whole, however, the article is indeed about the MMO. Sort of a Pre-MMO advertisement.

I seriously doubt the gaia MMO deserves all that credit. The future of MMO's?? dear god i hope not. I've played tons of flash MMO's from AQ to Dragon Fable to MechQuest, etc... and they all suck. I wonder how long it is going to take gaia to figure out if they charge real money to give "special" items out, they will create an even greater cash cow.

i remember the days when you had to work for what you got! the only things for sale were the "donation items". although someone had to work to get the money they are giving to gaia. but it doesnt feel the same! Dx

That will more than likely happen. I can see the Gaia Cash Store being overrun by rings for the MMO. I'm actually kind of happy they're only using rings, over protective gear, and that. Or as far as I've read, they're only using Rings, and I checked up on it months ago.

Its the fate of every "free" MMO.
