I bought a Wii. Since I started playing video games (my SNES controller fused with my hands to form my thumbs 3nodding ) I've been a huge fan of Nintendo material. They seem to be the most innovative, the most groundbreaking, and the most widely known and/or loved gaming company in the world. I'm always eager to see just what they'll throw out to us next.
Well the Wii was the perfect example of what Nintendo can do. The interactive game play coupled with the free WiFi connection, and the backwards compatibility/ability to download classics make for one solid system. The remote/nunchuk motion-sensing combination means that the old arcade games like House of the Dead and Area 51 can come back and be cursed at once again for being so damn difficult.
The Wii is also a perfect example of what Nintendo CAN'T do. The Wii just isn't powerful enough to handle some of the hotter frame rates and game organization that the processors in the XBOX360 and the Playstation 3 are designed for. All hands down, it's versatile, but it's not powerful. A lack of hard drive space is remedied by the range of external memory options available, what with the GameCube memory ports, SD memory port, and USB ports, but even then you have to keep up with the extra components.
So a few pros and cons there. *breaks out the ATG Spoon*

-Pros and Cons of the Nintendo Wii
-Do you own one/add me to your friend roster? 8D
-Why can't Nintendo splurge and make a system with more power that's just a wii bit bigger? Maybe OVER a foot in length?
-Why did you choose a Wii over other systems?
-Why did you choose other systems over the Wii?
-Does Nintendo sacrifice quality for innovation and widespread family popularity?
-Is Wii Music as disappointing to you as it is to me?
-Etc.
