OK...I've been here a little while, my step daughter thought it was cool...anyhow...when I go shopping, most of the shops I visit like the pet shop only take Gaian Cash...not Gold.

I can make gold here, but have to put in my real money to shop for things for the site????

I'm confused and a little disappointed...am I missing something?

No, you do not have to use real dollars to buy this stuff. You can buy items in the Marketplace from other users and avoid Gaia cash altogether. Of course, it can be pricey - an item that is 799 Gaia cash or $7.99 can be 240,000 Gaia gold or more.

In Phin Phang and the Cash shop, you can ONLY use real money to buy items, but in all other shops in Gaia you can use gold earned on the site. Hope that helps.
