Confused about my evolving item

I read the previous thread relating to this but need more info please.

I went ahead and bought a gift card and my first (and so far only) purchase was the 7th gen gough reed. I really liked the rainbow items and llama I saw on the front page so I bought it. To my surprise, I only see the option to equip my avatar with the actual reed, staff and a belt. Where is the llama etc? Did I buy the wrong thing?

I'm not an idiot I swear haha but this cash shop buisness has me a bit baffled.

When items are initially released in the Cash Shop, they are deemed 'first generations'. Once the item has it's first evolution, the 1st gen is replaced in the shops by a 2nd gen, and so on and so on.

Your gogh reed will eventually have the rainbow poses, you'll just have to wait for them! gonk

I have a piggyback question. If an evolving item (ex. the stolen DNA) can be split into other items (those four vials) and it goes to another generation, will your vial still be a first when you finally use it?

I don't have a DNA myself but I don't believe it has evolved yet.

But yes, evolving items that you have to open (example-copper two pence) evolved the same as regular EIs.
When the DNA has it's next update, the cash shop will sell 2nd gens.
