Liltweet_gal Posted: Tue Jun 02, 2009 6:07 pm So for my drawing class, we're working on a "genetic engineering" project where we draw an animal made of five other animals. We also need a latin name in fancy font in the drawing. My animal is- -head/neck of a giraffe -body of a zebra -tail of a rattlesnake -wings of a hummingbird -legs of a tarantula ....I have no idea what the name should be, but I kind of want "dragon" to be in there. Any ideas? Hmmm It might help to look into what your creature resembles. While dragons take on many shapes and forms, they're usually pretty reptilian.
Let's see you have your

Or your

maybe even a

But your idea looks closer to this instead of a dragon.

While I don't know Latin, what a lot of people looking for ideas when picking a word in a foreign tongue is find one that looks really cool.

So like invisus might be a good name for an evil monster because the name means hated or hateful.
Still it's your creature and only you know what what personality, history, background, etc. it has. Be creative.

Liltweet_gal -head/neck of a giraffe -body of a zebra -tail of a rattlesnake -wings of a hummingbird -legs of a tarantula
... Judging from the animals there, I'd say... "Weird" There's a good name. blaugh Just kidding.
I actually like Salinik out of the names suggested.
