Summons

A powerful jutsu, Ninpo Kuchiyose allows a ninja to summon animals, objects and the dead to fight on their behalf. The ninja normally signs a blood contract with the animal species, which allows them to summon different size and skill levels of creature. The ability to summon more advanced animals largely depends upon the amount of chakra the ninja can muster to perform the jutsu. By signing this contract, the creatures themselves can also reverse summon the contract signer to their location.

To summon the creature the ninja will wipe blood on the hand, perform the necessary handseals and then touch their hand to the ground or another object. Though it appears that as long as significant pressure is placed against the blood in some form, the summon will be complete. There can be variations to the summoning steps, some ninja like Temari will wipe blood on her fan, then by swinging the fan the animal is summoned. Other ninja like Orochimaru wipe the blood across a snake tattoo on their arm first, then touch the ground.

Obtaining A Summon

To obtain a summon from a Sage or Original Summoner, their roleplaying characters must meet and the sage would have a scroll of who his or her students of the summons are. The shinobi who wants to learn the summon would sign the scroll with blood. The sage may give out a test or anything of some sort for the shinobi to do so that they get the summoning. That is, if they passed the Sage's test. The only shinobi who are allowed to have a summoning are Genin with a demon, or Chuunin and above. Normal genin CANNOT learn summons.

Toad Summon

___Demolisher Toad
This gigantic toad is one of the summons of Jiraiya. It it equipped with two katana sheathed on its back.

___Gamaken
This giant toad is one of Jiraiya's battle companions. Gamaken wields a large forked weapon and shield. Though he considers himself slow of mind, his size and power allows him to stand toe to toe with many large summons.

___Gamakichi
This toad is the personal summon of Naruto and Jiraiya.

___Common Toads
These toads are personal summons of Jiraiya. They appears to be Jiraiya's common toad to summon when hanging out. So far they have not fought in battle with Jiraiya, but has only been called on when Jiraiya visited Naruto in the hospital.

___Gamabunta
This giant toad is the boss of all the summoned toads. He was the personal summon of the Fourth Hokage and helped him defeat the Kyuubi 12 years previously.

Snake Summon

___Anko's Giant Snake (Unnamed)
Anko summoned this giant snake to destroy a cave wall and provide shelter by traveling in its mouth. It is assumed Anko signed the same summoning contract as Orochimaru to gain the ability to summon snakes like her former sensei.

___Manda
This snake is the personal summon of Orochimaru and he is the head of all snakes.

___Orochimaru's Snake
Orochimaru summoned this giant snake when he attacked Team 7 in the Forest of Death. To summon the snake Orochimaru wiped a line of blood across the tattoo on his left arm.

___Three-Headed Snake
This three headed snake was summoned by Hidden Sand ninja.

Nin-Dogs Summon

Weasel Summon

___Kamatari
This animal is the personal summon of the Sand ninja Temari. To summon the creature, Temari wipes blood on her fan and then does her Kirkirimai (Whirl) technique. After she swings her fan the itachi (weasel) is summoned with a huge scythe as well as several other small kama (sickles). The result is a huge swath of destruction. Other than Naruto, Temari is the only Genin so far who has been shown to possess the needed chakra to summon a creature.
