Close Minded vs Open Minded

I think it means are you open to things? Like if someone told you your friend jumped off a 300ft. bridge onto concrete and they lived. (Not things that extreme, but the basic idea) Or closed minded, not open to new or seemingly impossible things. Like if someone told them about Jesus, and how he rose from the dead, they wouldn't be able to believe it, they are closed minded. (I'm just guessing, because this is one of the things it could mean. Not all though)

I don't mind when someone has a new idea or claims something contrary to my beliefs. It's an opportunity to learn, so I take this new idea and compare it to the scriptures. If it matches up and the scriptures support it, I'll accept the idea, even if it means that I am wrong. If the scriptures reject it, then I also reject it.

Kinda, it can also mean that your more open to things like Gays, false Idols, ect.
While close minded is when you don't accept those things.

I am more close minded.

What are you defining as open and closed minded? They're both relative to the person.

I'm open minded in the ways that I try to accept people and things who/what they are and not judge them. But I'm very close minded in the sense of things against God, things are that are pro-sin and such... The more I pray and study his word the more I am against the sins of this world that seemed so common place that I never realized it was even a sin.

I am open minded, so long as the idea is not against anything in the Bible.

I try to be as open minded as I can, but I often find I'm being very ignorant at times.

I think though, a lot of things in the Bible are misunderstood by the church.
Like when the Bible speaks of drunkenness being wrong, I think it means that letting alcohol rule your life by being an alcoholic is wrong, but I don't think being drunk once in a long time is wrong.
That's just one of the things I think most churches and Christians misunderstand about the Bible. I have a lot of things I disagree with my church on, like predestination also.

But yeah, I think a lot of the time most Christians are a little close-minded and misunderstand a lot because of it.
