Personality: He is a light-hearted, loose bird who moves about freely and with little care. As he aged, he began to wish for a companion, someone to be around instead of always being alone.
He has found that in a large mare by the name of Hinapouri Hinengaro, and her oddball little group.
He feels accepted there, and loved in their own way.
History: He was alone for much of his life, wandering the lands and sticking out like a sore digit with his brightly-colored plumage.
He never really found anywhere he wanted to stay, until he met a mare named Hina and her little family. There, among others who do not seem to belong elsewhere in the world, he too has found a home.

Personality:
Hina is a mare strong of body and will, mentally vigorous with moral clarity to match. She is used to others finding her size and strength intimidating, though she is kind and gentle unless great need arises. She has been mocked and teased since she was young, always a bit larger and a bit too heavy-set to be considered "pretty"... and therefore desirable as a companion or love interest. This has made her somewhat reserved and stoic, hesitant to open up for fear of rejection. Mossy-green eyes peer out at the world through a wooden mask, taking in everything and betraying only what she is comfortable sharing.
She has found her heart's match in her friend Hudson, a strong male capable of great compassion who cut through her stoic nature with his honest good-will.
The pair found and rescued an Usdia foal together, and their oddball family has brought a new light and joy to this strong mare's life. She is less reserved, and more relaxed, finding a new peace in (surrogate) motherhood.
History:
A full-blooded Hippogryph, she settled on a small island and has since ventured forth to see more of the Kawani lands.
There, she found her heart's match in the stallion who would become her best friend, and they have raised an Usdia foal together.
She has also formed a close bond with a parrot familiar named Kwatoko.

Personality: Ahanu is a stallion who has faced many trials in his life, and found love and joy in his travels. Though he carries his heart with him, in memory of loved ones and cherished friends, he has made a physical home with his lifemate Sakari, his friend Aranck the goat, and his two beloved Wished-for children.
He is a wonderful father, and adores his extended family greatly.
He has found new purpose in fatherhood, though he continues to be ever the dutiful and devoted son.
History:
Ahanu was a carefree soul in his youth, bumbling through life with a blatant disregard for his own safety. His parents, try as they might, couldn't quite get him to pay much attention to anything... save his imagined escapades. His vivid imagination created a world of wonder to overlay upon the rather dreary world, and sometimes a rock or tree didn't always make the transition. His muted survival instinct finally won out over his clumsy day-dreaming when puberty hit. As his body matured, he took his father's lectures more seriously and listened when his mother pleaded with him to settle down. He didn't play air-shark any more, his time in the air devoted to conditioning and skill.
He began to see the world as it is, a mixture of pure souls and absolute demons with countless beings caught in-between. The evil in the world depressed him; he couldn't understand their cruelty, and he had known even when he was very young that what they were doing was wrong. Though he nodded along when his father would explain the need for balance, he was still saddened and bewildered by the devastation that could be wrought. Some of his peers had turned to crusading and knighthood to battle the evil, but Ahanu saw any violence as evil... even to protect what one holds dear.
His mother could see the sadness in his eyes, and she sought to cheer him up with stories of wondrous landscapes in distant lands, where all that was good and pure reigned free. Perhaps it was a remnant of childhood naivety or just hope, but eventually his curiosity grew to determination and he began his own travels in search of those wondrous sights.
When he didn't find anything particularly astonishing after a long, hard day's flight, he was rather disappointed... after a few months of travel, he gained a deeper appreciation for the simple beauty of a clear stream and the taste of sweet grass.
When he returned to his family's homelands, news of his father's failing health hit hard. He worked alongside his mother to care for the aging stallion, seeking out healers and help wherever they were available. Of necessity and duty, he became a stoic shoulder to cry on when the strain tore down his mother's desperate self-control. He was a reliable partner in the sick-room, completely devoted to his father's safety.
His father has since recovered, though he remains fragile. Nonetheless, he urged his only son to continue exploring the world, to find things out for himself and to apply all the lessons he had been so painstakingly thought.
Hesitantly, Ahanu now travels the lands in order to please his father, though he returns seasonally to check on his parents and share what he has learned.

Personality: Aranck is a happy goat with his head in the clouds. He moves through life with joy, and adores his adoptive family.
History: Aranck was a joyous goat who stumbled upon a stallion making a Wish upon a Star. He observed the stallion's gentle offering, the love so visible in his eyes, and decided that he wanted to be friends.
He approached, and a warm and world-weary gaze turned to him and softened as it touched upon his ready and eager smile- from then on, Ahanu watched over the little goat as if he was his own, and Aranck became a family member in all but kind.
Though bonded closely with Ahanu, he stays with Sakari when his adored stallion takes wing.

Personality: Devoted, honorable, and kind, Mauja is a gentle stallion with a quiet dignity that surrounds his soft heart. He is always willing to help, and does his best to ensure that those around him are well taken care of- and, in times of great need, that they receive whatever care they require from the one most skilled for the task with all due haste.
History: Mauja and his sister Sakari lost their mother in the dreadful snowstorm that accompanied their birth. The half-unicorn mare Awendela who had acted as their mother's midwife through pregnancy and arrived too late to save their mother (though she exhausted and nearly fainted in her efforts) raised them from foalhood, bestowing upon them their birth-mother's surname Seiko along with their given names.
They were raised to be honorable, kind, gentle, and always to help others- though these traits were already in their natures, it was the example of the half-uni mare and her dedication to her healing craft that served as a constant reminder to always be their best selves.
Mauja strives to honor the memory of his mother, and the mother who raised him, by being the best stallion he can be.
As a young stallion, he met a mare whose easy charm and bouncing coils (courtesy of two-legged's nimble fingers) that enhanced the natural wave of her mane and tail enchanted him. Her bright emerald eyes and youthful demeanor held him captive. She had this bright energy and ease of being that utterly enthralled him. They grew closer quickly, and their relationship blossomed out of long talks and many hours spent in each other's company.
They had children young, and Mauja quickly matured to fill his new roll as father and guide to the next generation's development.
He was a good father, though he made mistakes as parents are apt to do, and he and the mare found solace in each other's company as they grew even closer through the trials of unexpected parenthood.
He grew to love her even more, watching her grow into a wonderful mother.
They were Lifemated with ceremony under the stars, with his adoptive mother and twin sister in attendance, their children looking on with shining eyes and awe.
Shortly after, he found and rescued a raven who quickly became part of their close family.
Now, he spends his prime with the love of his life, surrounded by children and friends who are just as eager to help as he.

Personality: A clever bird who sought family.
History: Toklo was a clever bird who adapted easily to his surroundings. His affinity for shiny objects often lead him to explore strange places, and he would get himself into trouble at times for refusing to leave without the object he wished as a prize.
One cold winter's day, he got himself trapped in the opening of a too-tight hole in a hollowed-out tree during a snowstorm.
Though he could adapt to almost any situation in mind and manner, he could not change his body and get himself un-wedged.
Mauja found him the next day, and rescued the poor near-frozen bird, bringing him back to his mate and nursing him back to health.
When recovered, Toklo left to reclaim his prize... and fond that he was a changed bird. The kindness shown him, and near-death experience, mollified his desire for objects to an extent... and he found himself wanting more.
He wanted friendship, companionship, a home.
So he brought the greatest treasures of all, little stars that he had found once-upon-a-time when he was barely a hatch-ling (stars whose beauty and cherished glow he could never replicate), and returned to the great stallion's home.
He laid the stars at his feet, and his heart with it.
And he found Home.
Now, he sticks close to the family's location, turning his quick eye and darting gaze to watching over their foals- a most cherished prize.
And, of course, one he needs all his wits to keep track of.
When the foals began to grow and lead their own lives, Toklo turned his attention to serving as a messenger of sorts for his Soquili friend and the healer who comes and goes.
But, if ever more foals should come... ahh, what a wonderful prize.

Personality: She is a kind mare, with a slightly quirky personality that makes her rather endearing.
History: Imagine looking spooky all year round. Though her looks are not too irregular now, as a foal she grew up in a rather natural herd. She stood out, and she was thought of as a bit apart- an oddity, a strange one. She and her brother formed a close bond due to their shared perceived strangeness, and in their union she found solace. Though her father had a darker coat with some bone markings (another outcast, there among the Naturals), her mother was a fairly acceptable standard shade of pure white.

Personality: A strong, reliable, dependable stallion who has moved through life taking on the trials of others (emotional or otherwise) with a good heart. He is quiet, but quick to speak with friends.
He met a great, admirable mare Hina- guided by the light of a bright star- whose strength and size as well as strength of spirit spoke to him like a kindred soul. They became close friends, and though their love is not romantic their bond was deepened by the rescue and raising of a small Usdia foal named Kay.
Her bright spirit brought out a softer side to this strong stallion- though he is often kind to others, he had not been seen to laugh (only a soft smile) until his adoptive daughter entered his life.
Now, the pair roam the lands while their daughter bounds through random encounters with endless enthusiasm, always returning to share her stories and bring a little more light into their lives.
History: Hudson was a large stallion put to work in a mine of sorts before it was closed down. He then wandered the lands until, guided by the light of a star, he found a true friend- or did she find him?- who changed the course of his life forever.

Personality: A sweet, kind mare with a talent for unspoken communication between species. She is sensitive to the moods of others, with a kind and caring soul that is drawn to freedom and the natural world.
History: She was raised in a small village of two-leggeds after some injury at birth prevented her from being among her own kind. Nursed back to health and adored by the two-leggeds, she quickly learned to communicate with them and play their lead-and-pull games, and enjoyed the company of one above all others- he was the kindest, the sweetest one, with the gentlest touch who always had patience with her.
Her soft and quiet manner was greatly admired, as well as her pretty conformation and coat, but the other villagers at times wanted too much from her and she found that when her favorite had grown and much of his time was taken up by two-legged things she was called back to the wild by a gentle stallion who would later become her beloved mate.
She still visits her foalhood home among the two-leggeds once a season, for they and he especially will always hold a place in her heart, though now she makes her soul's true home in the wild with her Lifemate Ba-kho-je.
She recently started a family with her beloved Ba-kho-je, and has blossomed into a wonderful and naturally-borne mother.
