Saint Crazy S Requiem I think it's beautiful how Jesus turned the cross, a weapon of Roman torture, into a symbol of God's grace and love. I will continue to wear my cross. There's a Time to Laugh "Ephesians 2: 8-9"
I like this.
I will wear my cross proud. If the cross offends someone then they don't understand it or even if they do understand it and it still offends then that's on them. I'm proud of the cross I wear and it's a constant reminder that Jesus paid the penalty for you and me and everyone else in this world.
And a Time to Cry "Romans 5: 3-5"

colon bracket It's a symbol of the pain he went through for us.
Absolutely.
Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it. Matthew 16:24-25
Just as Jesus took up the burden of our sins for us, we take up his path. And as Jesus gave up his life for us, we give our lives back to him. And we are always ready to be 'nailed to the cross' for him. That's why we carry the cross - to remind us, and show others, how Jesus has changed and marked our lives.

Oh, and remember, Jesus /overcame/ death. Why would he be hurt, afraid, or offended by being reminded of it? He has life in God, just as we do because of Him.
