So, you can get a new item by befriending Rufus. Found this out on tektek so, others here may already know but, just in case anyone doesn't... yeah...links ftw.

They've done this before with Gambino, may he rest in peace, which granted a gold pen.

So, for discussion:

How many of the NPC's do you think we'll get to add to our buddy list in the future?
Which one do you think will be next?
Why is Gaia so sneaky with their items sometimes?
